Turnau is a very small village, so if you want peace and quiet, this is a perfect place. The little cottage we had was perfect, cozy, comfortable and warm, but it was equipped with everything needed (coffee machine, tv, fridge, cooking appliances). The whole inn had quite a traditional vibe, which I really liked, because I felt very taken care of. The breakfast is continental (so pastries and hams + soft boiled eggs) and it was really delicious. Everything was perfect!

The rooms are very nicely prepared - we had a two-story room with a spacious bathroom incl whirlpool. Eating at the Roanwirt is also really nice (typical Austrian cuisine). The sauna area is not the biggest, but it was never crowded. The staff are tremendously forthcoming and friendly. In the area, you can hike up to Pogusch and have amazing views of the mountains.

The hosts were wonderful and helpful with anything we needed. The food was delicious. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner there and enjoyed every bite of Austrian cuisine. The place is easily accessible by public transport (or car) and is at the heart of many trails. The view is of course stunning.

Turnau is a very small village, so if you want peace and quiet, this is a perfect place.
