Lovely friendly host and very comfortable room. We had a balcony with views of the vineyards. It was really relaxing and beautiful. The breakfast was excellent with a really good selection of food. Very clean and comfortable bed. Safe storage for our tandem.

A great room with a view - as the name suggests! The guesthouse is up on a bit of a hill which gives stunning views of the vineyards around. Nice brekkie (at additional charge) on the balcony in the sunshine. Great shower and comfy beds.

Amazing hotel with great atmosphere. Everything was just wonderful. Lady at the reception was friendly and helpful. Staff in the restaurant was very kind, food was extraordinary and live music on Friday evening? What a nice surprise. Room and bathroom were like from the real castle. I was travelling with two kids and nothing was the problem, bed for the son, crib for the little one, they even got some nice presents. We didn't have time for swimming pool, but we will definitely try it next time.

A Truly Magical Stay – Warm, Charming, and Impeccably Clean Hotel Ur-Wachau is nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, we felt wrapped in warmth and elegance. The charm of the historic building, the attention to detail in every corner, and the genuine hospitality make it a rare gem. The rooms are spotless—truly pristine. I even sat in the beautiful breakfast room trying to spot anything made of plastic, just out of curiosity, and found nothing. Everything is thoughtfully chosen, beautifully maintained, and deeply authentic. Breakfast was a highlight—local flavors, homemade delicacies, and served in what feels like a fairytale chapel. The whole experience radiates care and intention. If you’re looking for a place that’s serene, inspiring, and truly sustainable, look no further. I can’t recommend it enough. Just wow.

EVERYTHING! LOCATION: The appartment with stunning views of the mountains was well situated about a 20 minute walk from Spitz right next door to an excellent wine Hauringer where you could drink exceptional wine and eat good local food. COMFORT: You had everything you needed for a very comfortable stay including the ability to park your car in a large double garage (with remote door) right under the appartment. HOSTS: Andrea and Karl were great hosts who are very friendly and were only a phone call away to answer any queries.

We were staying in Apt 1 and got clear guidance how to reach to the place, is really hidden gem for people looking some nature and quiet stay. House is adorable and has everything, newly and warm equipped, kitchen has everything you need if you want to cook, coffee machine. Even though really warm days it is cool inside and fresh. Walking distance to shops, restaurants and heuriger. We had really wonderful stay and long weekend that want us to be back to Spitz again.

Everything. The house is lovely. The location superb. Our room was a pleasantly furnished flat with a mountain view. The staff were so friendly. We had an issue with our original room not being what we booked. They changed our room without any query. Spitz is a pretty, quiet little village.

In the middle of Spitz. It was perfect for our bike trip rainbreak. The kitchen was modern, the grocery store and many other restaurants were in walking distance. Everything is brand new and well done. Super friendly host. We even got a wonderful gift that we really liked.

This is an iconic location in Spitz and old tradition restaurant. Worth to stay at least one as an experience to never forget. Also you can go over the road to swim in Danube or straight up hill to the ruins.
