It was our second time. The service of the hotel went beyond every expectation. The whole atmosphere of the hotel is charming. The room was comfortable, well-equipped, had a nice view from the balcony. The buffet breakfast had a great variety, and the 5 meal dinner was absolutely the finest dining experience, accompanied by a great service from the whole restaurant team. And last but not least the wellness, with a dedicated sauna area, sauna infusions offered 4 times a day, that is also a top quality. We were in the pre-season, but the price–performance ratio is absolutely great.

Excellent, new hotel, within walking distance of the Planai west cable car and the center of Schladming. The wellness area has 3 saunas and a relaxation room. The breakfast is full of various organic products, there is a juicer with a large selection of vegetables and fruits. After check-out, you can store your belongings in the ski room and spend the whole day on the slopes.

We didn't eat out much as accomodation had a very well equipped kitchen. Public transport was punctual and free with a Sommer Card provided by our hosts. All lift passes that we used were free also. The only cost was a booking fee for getting up to the Schladming Galcier. (PREPARE TO QUE FOR THIS ONE). Be aware that shops are closed for religious holidays etc.

Schladming is not interesting place, but the surroundings -...

Schladming is not interesting place, but the surroundings - yes. You can find a lot of attractions like ferrara, wander wegs, cycle routes, even rafting and places obligatory to visit: Dachstein Glacier, Planai, Reiter Alm (all supported by lifts). There are some places from the category "must see" like Riesach waterfall or Silberkar Gorge.

I enjoyed the area but it was hard to find information about...

I enjoyed the area but it was hard to find information about ski schools or guides online. We had some beginners with us and they were unable to ski the icier slopes at the bottom of the hill. I would have signed up for a guide/instructor for them if I was able to get more information. Also need more non ski activities in the area. We went to the Dachstein Glacier area and it was stunning!

We liked the helpful staff and comfortable room with a balcony and a view of the mountains. The weather was bad but the staff gave us ideas about where to walk. A comfortable sitting room with a fire would have made it even better.

A wonderful family resort in the east of the alps.

A wonderful family resort in the east of the alps. Great for beginners. Lots of blue & red runs. Great night time sledging. Loads of restaurants on the mountains with very friendly service. Big portions but not cheap but then ahow me a skiing resort that is. Much cheaper than france and Switzerland and italy.

Ski area consist of 4 hills to 1.800m, so everyone can find the slope which is fitting to him. On the hills, there was a pretty lot of restaurants or bars. There was a free parking place to leave a care in and drive with the lift directly to the entrance. When parking outside, you can put your skies on and by the snow go directly to the entrance to buy a tickets. Parking place was on asphalt so no dirt. The Schladming city is small but you can find there a restaurant for a quick dinner.

The hotel lies near the highway and is easy to get to. In case you are there for a skiing holiday, the bus stops right in front of the hotel to take you to the slopes. The hotel is modern and clean, the personnel is very friendly and helpful. The kitchen is outstanding, breakfast and dinner are excellent with a nice variety of wine and spirits - it is worth trying the home-made Schnaps. In case you are there for hiking, there are several routes starting nearby leading to the neighboring villages, waterfalls or even to via ferratas.

Sarah, the host met us when we arrived, showed us around. House is at excellent location, only few steps from the Preunegg Jet lift station. Apartment is on a second floor, with nice balconys, view to the mountain. Place is super quite and very clean. Kitchen is well equipped, ready to prepare anything. At the entrance there is a heated place to store your skis, boots, helmets, so no need to bring them up. All in all this is an excellent place to stay if you are looking for ski holiday in the Schladming area.

Cosy room, comfortable beds, everything was very clean. There are two big parking lots available, so you can choose where to park. Kind staff. Beautiful view from the hotel as it stands on the hill, charming restautant outside with the view to the town and ski slopes. Cca. 5-minute drive to the town centre. If you arrive after 5 pm (the reception desk closes at 5), let them know, so you will get the instructions about getting the key.

Beautiful location, stunning views. Clean and comfortable, its maybe a little dated but it adds to the charm, and reflected in the price. There is a bus service into Schladming and ski bus stops right outside the house. If snow allows you can ski back ocross the fields which is great fun!
