I arrived late at night. It was closed, but I called the host. She called me back and let me in to sleep. I paid in the morning. The breakfast is delicious. They even gave me a ride to St. Martin’s Therme. There is no public transport from there to there. Excellent service.

It’s our second visit. We were enchanted and fascinated again. The facilities are excellent. The service was, as a whole with little exceptions, very good. The food at breakfast and during dinner is at top level. The rooms are very well equipped. You have everyday for free at your disposal in your room’s fridge: water, beer, biolemonade, coke and other soft drinks.

Scheiblhofer deserves a slew of superlatives. The hotel stretches on an impressive estate measuring 84,123 square metres. The additional offerings of the hotel are incredibly diverse, and the wine list is among the richest in this part of Europe. If you organise a large event in this hotel, you can almost book the entire village of Andau. The hotel is distinctly different, unique and special in a positive way. It can be considered a wine hotel, spa resort or purebred meeting hotel. This philosophy gives the hotel character, setting it apart from the competition. The rest is often dependent on the subjective take of event organisers. In this case, though, almost everyone is thrilled about the idea and realisation. That is why we consider the hotel one of the most original ones we stayed in lately. Such a superb package is not the cheapest, but with a gourmet dinner and a tasteful breakfast, the price is fair. The superb restaurant staff masterfully contributes to the quality of the overall experience. Professionals from Hungary are masters of their trade and are always there when you need them. That goes for every staff member we encountered during our stay. It is delightful to stay in a hotel where they know how to treat their guests. The hotel spa stretches over 4000 square metres, which speaks volumes about the dimensions. After an event, attendees can relax in the spa to crown their day at the estate. A spacious sauna centre and infinity pool overlooking the vineyards are part of the superb spa, not to mention a selection of treatments and massages.

The breakfast was delicious, rich and of high quality, one of the indications that the owner set a high bar and was serious about making his accomodation comfortable and pleasant. The courtyard in front of the door added to the home atmosphere, among many other good things.

St. Andrä is a nice place, there is a nice bakery near the accommodation. Otherwise, we used our stay to visit Neusiedler See - we recommend it, there is also great activities for smaller children from about 3 years old. The accommodation was very nicely furnished and clean, it is a quiet place.

Unfortunately, the village has poor infrastructure.

Unfortunately, the village has poor infrastructure. You can buy pastries in a bakery, but only during limited hours, otherwise in a bakery with a café at Lake Zicksee, about 3 km from the accommodation. There is also the possibility of eating in a restaurant. We really appreciate the many cycle paths, even next to every main road.

There aren't many restaurants in the center of St.

There aren't many restaurants in the center of St. Andrä, but you'll find more options right on the shores of Lake Zicksee. St. Andrä is well-located for day trips to the surrounding area (Frauenkirchen, Illmitz, Parndorf, St. Martins Thermal Spa).

A great starting point for exploring the Neusiedler See...

A great starting point for exploring the Neusiedler See region, Bratislava, and Hungary. Recommendations: Podersdorf Lighthouse (wine tastings by local vintners on the jetty every second Thursday of the month), stunning sunsets, Sundowner Mole West, and a visit to Erich Stekovics' "Genussstunden" (advance booking required!).

The place has a bit of a transit feel.

The place has a bit of a transit feel. Lake Zicksee is quite a distance away (easily accessible by bike) and was completely dried up this year. Anyone looking for a bit more life nearby and direct access to the water should choose one of the other towns on Lake Neusiedl!

Very cozy place, lovely rooms, the breakfast was extensive, you're served directly, and nothing is missing. Fresh food. A very funny host; personal service is still highly valued in this accommodation, and you feel truly at ease. I'd love to come back. The attached bar (disco) is also a rare find these days. 🙂👍👍
