We liked everything: the breakfast was excellent as well as dinner. We also enjoyed the soup and the salad buffet after coming from skiing. We love the detail of always having the same table for our meals and to be identified by family name, and not room number. It was also very useful to have a list of activities for the day.

Hotel Schorhof was perfect in every way, the staff were so friendly we felt completely at home as soon as we arrived. The food both at breakfast and dinner was exquisite, breakfast was plentiful and dinner was so tasty. Felt like a treat every day! They were also so accomodating when we had friends to visit for dinner on evening. Cannot wait to come back already.

Self check-in was super easy. Parking was easy. Contact with the owner was easy. The apartment on the attic was really nice. The large double beds were indeed very large! We requested separate sheets, as we were with colleagues, which was well arranged. The kitchen was also well equipped for cooking!

The Saliter Hof Hotel location - on flat ground surrounded by fields - is excellent, as there are great views of mountains in the near distance from the hotel. (A far more expensive hotel, that I visited to meet friends, was deep in a valley with high mountains on either side so the view was very limited). My hotel was about half full in late September, but imagine the whole place is packed with skiing parties when the snow arrives. Either drive yourself or a hire car is essential to get around, though my hotel had bicycles available for local exploring. In the winter months, quite nearby, I could see a ski-jumping centre for those brave highly skilled skiers who want to fly through the air. In fact there were 4 different height ski jump tracks for beginners right through to Olympic standard experts. The hotel was even better than expected, with a wellness centre on the top floor, and 2 sauna cabins open 2pm-8pm. Breakfast was very good and the balcony was an extra bonus. Saalfelden, the main town has supermarkets for supplies, and petrol stations for your car. But note; the speed limits on roads change very frequently. Without knowing it, you can cross between 80 kph, 60 kph, 30 kph and occasionally 100 kph (for only a short distance) all within a couple of minutes. Be careful !

Saalfelden is a cute little resort town close to Saalbach...

Saalfelden is a cute little resort town close to Saalbach Hinterglemm, Leogang and Fieberbrunn ski fields. One hour from Salzburg, 2 hours from Innsbruck & Munich. There are a few supermarkets and it is very central to lots of cities. Haci Buba Bistro is a great place to eat, there are plenty of restaurants to choose from (& a McDonalds). Zell Am See is 15 minutes south, which is a must-visit town with a beautiful lake. We enjoyed our stay here.

A small town with a pleasant atmosphere. Beautiful nature in the surroundings, a beautiful view of the mountains, a great starting point for trips. An excellent pizzeria (Pizzeria La Piazza) on the square in the center of the city (next to the town hall), a pleasant walk around the Ritzensee, tasty products from the goat farm (stand on the circuit around the Ritzensee).

We have just come to the end of an amazing stay at the Ramseiderhof. The room had everything we could ask for and was really homely. The host was great at helping us with our Saalfelden-Leogang and meeting us after our late arrival. We were also provided with a cot and highchair for our roddler. We would highly recommend!

I had an amazing stay at this hotel. The staff is very helpfull and friendly. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfy and breakfast is amazing. You can see the owner put a lot of thought in to building it. They also have a skiroom in the basement which was helpful for warming up the equipment after a day on snow.

Friendly staff and really pet friendly. There’s even a restaurant area only for dogs. We enjoyed the Christmas celebration on the terrace and the manager spent time knowing each of the family staying in the hotel!
