Beautiful old hotel with additional modern facilities, in a wonderful location. The breakfasts and evening restaurant menus were excellent with delicious food and excellent waiter service. Gorgeous views of the mountains from our room and a lovely balcony too. Great walks from right outside the door.

Very good location in the middle of the forest. There was 1 km to get from an asphalt road to the location, but it's not a problem to get there by a standard car. Clean. About 3 km to Hohe Wand.

Big room with a very nice balcony. It is smart to have the air conditioning in the adjacent hall near the entrance not blowing air directly to your face. Another intelligent fact was that the toilet (wc) and shower are separated so two person could use sanitary at the same time. Breakfast was available from a good range of time for early mourners to late sleepers. With a lot of options from milk, coffee, juices, homemade tart, fruits, jam, cakes and biscuits. The parking space is free and also very spacious. We felt extremely welcome because we arrived at 11:30 yet we were greeted by a very nice receptionist.

The room was great. High standard, clean, and modern. We loved drinks and other homemade goods at the hotel. The surroundings were pretty with many places to relax in the garden and natural pool.

Both rooms we booked were wonderful for our family and we were grateful to be able to open the in-between door with host's help. Making our stay so comfortable. The ability to grill on the Terrace was awesome!

The main attraction is the nearest mountain, Schneeberg.

The main attraction is the nearest mountain, Schneeberg. There is a hiking pass and a special train in summer. The hike is fantastic! Best fitness you can have and a great view (if the weather is not too bad).

Puchberg is a beautiful little town with the Scneeberg...

Puchberg is a beautiful little town with the Scneeberg scenery. Very good restaurants and bars waiting for the customers. Nice and friendly people everywhere. Only one homeless spotted... :D Unfortunately the Salamandra train is not working in winter.

I think visiting Puchberg am Schneeberg would be perfect as...

I think visiting Puchberg am Schneeberg would be perfect as a day trip from Vienna - especially if you only go to hike the Schneeberg. Staying the night in Puchberg is advised, if you would like to wake up to the view of mountains :) Or watch the starry sky ;) Nothing is open in the evening, so if you descend the mountain late (as we did, since we missed the last Salamander train), there is nowhere to get food. Only one place is open, but they serve nothing but drinks by that time. By about 8.30 pm (in September) the entire village was dark and quiet. Very unusual and eerie, if you've been staying in capital cities before that :P

We haven't asked for breakfast , but with the fully equipped kitchen we had no issues. The apartman was spacious , clean , quiet , had a lovely charm , we had a great stay there. We had view of the mountain. The exterior is big and well maintained , with a small lake and equipment for children to play. There's a lovely hiking trail behind the hotel , recommend to try it. Our guests were also exceptional , very helpful and lovely.

The apartments is beautifully furnished and really well equipped - the electric grill is an added bonus! The site is really lovely, in a quiet, beautiful area with views on the lake and hills all around. The location is great, close to hiking paths as well as a 10 minute drive to Puchberg am Schneeberg. The restaurant offers some local delicacies (note that only open Thu - Sun).

The hotel was not exactly modern but it was clean and the staff were great. The food in the restaurant was tasty, there was a choice of fresh fruit for breakfast and salads for lunch and dinner. The wellness area was nice, the swimming pool was pleasantly warm.

We spent a weekend here and we loved the place. The owner is super friendly and it made us feel at home. Rooms are large, very comfortable and clean. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel and the food was excellent. We will come back next time we visit.

The hotel generally is fine, mainly what you expect from a traditional 4 star hotel. Wellness is really good! Our reservation was messed up and we were handled by the one unfriendly member of the staff.
