The staff were very welcoming and helpful, always ready to provide useful advice. The family room for four was spacious, well-organized, and felt much more comfortable than a typical hotel room. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, with plenty of variety and fresh options for the whole family. We would gladly return here during the winter as well.

The hotel is completely renovated, location is great. Breakfast is amazing, as well as spa and gym with a view on slopes. Only pool area need some refreshment. I also loved service upon arrival, concierge took care of car, skis and our laguage.

We visited in July, so there were only a few other customers besides us. Everything was great! There was a juicer at breakfast where you could make your own fresh morning juice. 10/10.

Ski lift is just outside of the hotel’s ski store room. only 30 secs walk to ski gear rental shop. You can book your ski course at the concierge. Super convenient if you plan for skiing. Kids and family friendly hotel with caring & friendly staff. They are all very helpful. Room with balcony & Mountain View. All board 3 meals and snack are included. they provide nice and variety of foods. Many choices of fruits and dessert. Clean and warm hotel! There is a toddler play room and also a game room for young kids. Free car park and it’s around 1 hr 15 min drive from Salzburg airport. There are lots of shop and restaurants within 5 mins drive. Better book in advance as this hotel is always full. Will definitely come back next winter.

A unique destination for a holiday! The hotel’s modern design impresses with details that keep you entertained throughout your stay. A special highlight is the two game rooms, featuring everything from the latest gaming consoles to retro pinball machines—perfect for teenagers, but equally fun for adults. The staff was friendly and accommodating, even going out of their way to meet our specific requests, which we truly appreciated. The food was excellent, with a diverse selection to suit all tastes. The spa was also a great experience, and the easy access to and from the ski slopes made our stay even more enjoyable.

Great restaurants, worth booking a table if you're in a larger group and they open later in the evening, like 5-6pm. Various menu options including vegan/vegetarian. On the slopes the bars are playing very loud music but serve quickly so you don't wait too long.

If you want your skiing winter experience to be idyllic, be sure to book a room right here. Hotel on the trail + extraordinary food offer (breakfast, lunch, mid-meal and dinner) + activities and content for the youngest and super-friendly staff will make your annual event unforgettable. The possibility of leaving the hotel directly on the ski lift and already in the first slope to feel the perfect tracks or powder trails, simply magical. Plus, while Obertauern is covered in natural snow, other surrounding ski resorts don't offer nearly as much satisfaction.

Favourite places: the beautiful mountains, lakes around the walking trails, you can do paddle boarding on one of the lakes, free of charge hiring the board and paddle, breathtaking views Binggl Bakery: wide variety of pastries, bread and coffee, great place to have breakfast. Pink Flamingo: Delicious burgers and pizzas, tasty lemonades Freiwild: Friendly and fast service, delicious beef goulash/stew, pesto and mozzarella chicken, Cordon bleu, fresh mixed salad, hommade chocolate mousse, cottage cheese strudel and berries, great elderflower lemonade It is really easy to get around Obertauern with google maps Plan your visit at least for a week in summer, there is so much to do and the place is incredibly laid back and relaxing.

Obertauren is great for snow quality we had a week of snow when most others were struggling. The lifts are fast, new and most feel quite plush, the resort circuit links really well and nearly forms a doughnut around the town, lots of runs end up heading back to somewhere in the town, no particular runs get especially busy at the end of the day. We found some lovely Austrian huts with self and table service with great Austrian food, the Mankei Alm was particularly hospitable. We were staying in a self catering apartment as a family, the only down side was we couldn't find anything to do in the evening, the centre consists of a only a handful of shops, there was no toboggan run open when we were there, no pool, skating or evening activities that we managed to find so if you want to have evening activities for kids or teens maybe book into one of the large Hotels with lots going on. Although this is a purpose built resort it has some charm and feels Austrian, We would certainly ski there again

If you are lucky with the weather and snow conditions, you will enjoy sunshine in the mountains - blue skies and fresh air. Definitely recommend for shorter ski breaks or with small children, as the ski area is not very big and might be too small for experienced skiers/those who whish to explore more/change ski pistes.

Extremely good localisation! The ski slopes are really just outside the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful, food was delicious! Saunas were always empty so we were able to use them. The swimmingpool has water at a very pleasant temperature. The gym was also usually empty and easily usable. It was very silent in the hotel. It is a very good option to buy dinners at the hotel as there is very limited number of other open restaurants in Obertauern!

Everything was cool, the hotel manager was very very kind and helpful. This was my first time alone abroad, I enjoyed very well this holiday. The breakfast and dinner could not have been better. Sauna was also super. The room met my needs, I just stayed there in the nights to sleep, it was tidy and comfortable. I could also easily get into the city center with a 10 minutes walk, or by ski.

We were here for a weekend in summer for the trail marathon. Perfect apartment with a well equipped kitchen, 2 bedrooms and a sofa bed in the winter garden out the front. Despite being just off the main road through Obertauern the apartment was quiet. Also the host is a former Austrian snowboarding champion 😀
