Ideal location just one minute from the local trains to Salzburg. The hotel seems brand new and rooms are furnished to very high standard with fridge and a large shared balcony with a view of the station and very prominent railway related frieze on the walls. Huge tv with lots of channels including YouTube. Oberndorf is a quiet town - can easily walk over the bridge to a Germany. See the Silent Night chapel where the famous carol originates. We stayed here instead of Salzburg using the local train - which runs twice or thrice an hour from very early to very late. The hotel has a restaurant and room does not include breakfast, but there are half a dozen bakery/coffee shops within five minutes walk. Check in was done on a screen outside the entrance, possibly because we arrived quite late. Fully automated process checking reservation, taking payment and delivering a key card. All without seeing a human being. There’s a reception desk too, during the day.

The room was decorated beautifully and the balcony overlooks into the gorgeous garden.
