Der Siegeler is just an amazing hotel, Mike, the owner goes all the way to help and please his clients and the place is just so impeccably clean and so inviting that you wouldn't want to go anywhere else. Lovely breakfast, everything so fresh every day and very filling! The hotel also boasts with Mike's Bar which is really lovely where you can always unwind after a nice dinner with a nice drink before heading to bed! Plenty of parking space for those who come by car and the town of Mayrhofen is just 5 minutes away on foot. Just plenty of things around, so lovely, so relaxing and calming around the Tyrol mountains. I will definitely come back, next time for skiing! :)

Loved EVERYTHING about Coolnest - staff was so Nice, helpful, cheerful, efficient and professional yet highly personable. The owner even engaged in a wine tasting with his guests and discussed his inspiration for the hotel. The hotel itself and the facilities are top notch, the decor was very cool and so we done, every detail done well and the all the areas from the reception area, the breakfast area, the roof top bar and restaurant, the pool the gym and yoga rooms were done so well. Not to mention the rooms that were functionally laid out perfectly with million dollar views of the zitteral valley. And did I mention all the free activities - hiking, biking, yoga, wine tasting, etc that comes free.

Really recommend the Zillertalerhof, lovely spacious room, very central location and the spa facilities were incredible. Staff were exceptional, went above and beyond to cater for my vegan diet- such delicious food every morning and evening. I hope to return soon!

Its an absolutely gorgeous hotel in a breathtaking area. Being a bit remote from the city for me was a plus. It really allows full recharging abd has a vibe of a family owned hotel which definetely makes all the difference for me. The food is amazing, the facilities are lovely.

Nice town with plenty of of restaurants, plenty of of shops, the only downside is that there are a lot of very drunk young people staggering around quite early in the evening, probably to many lively bars.

Mayrhofen has more going on than the other towns in the area, it's the largest one with the most food options and events happening. It's close to the mountains with great views and a good base for any adventures!

The perfect Zillertal base — charming, active, and full of...

The perfect Zillertal base — charming, active, and full of alpine character. Mayrhofen is a gem in the heart of the Zillertal Alps — both lively and surrounded by breathtaking scenery. My favorite spot in town was the central square with the iconic ibex statue and the beautiful alpine church, perfect for soaking in the mountain vibe. I enjoyed traditional Tyrolean meals at local guesthouses, and the hut-style restaurants in the surrounding mountains are worth the hike. Breakfast at my hotel was exceptional, and the Zillertal beer is a must-try after a long day outdoors. Getting around is easy — everything in town is walkable, and the Zillertalbahn train makes exploring the valley simple. For solo travelers like me, Mayrhofen is ideal: scenic hiking trails start right from town, there’s an excellent pool & spa complex (Erlebnisbad), and plenty of cafés and beer gardens to meet people or just relax. Whether you’re here for a few days or as a base for adventures like the Berliner Höhenweg, Mayrhofen delivers both comfort and authentic alpine atmosphere.

I've been to Mayrhofen many times over the years.

I've been to Mayrhofen many times over the years. On top of the magnificent views and mountains, I always recommend it particularly on the size of the town. There are plenty of shops, restaurants and hotels in the centre, which give plenty of options if you ever should get a bad weather day. If you are there for a few days, the Active Card is well worth getting. It includes all lifts, train and buses in the valley, so you can get about easily, trying other towns in the valley, without thinking of additional cost.

The ski area has a good range of slopes for novice/intermediates. If you are a total beginner there are better areas to start your skiing adventures. The best slopes in our opinion are a few runs and ski lifts away from the ascent via the Penkenbahn but are so worth it. Ahorn is good for an easy accessible confidence boost run or 2 and has some fun areas for the children. Hintertux glacier is a good day out and free bus available but can be super busy. We flew in to Innsbruck and then took the train to Mayrhofen for the first time and it was super easy and good value.

This was my 3rd visit to Mayrhofen over the last 20 years...

This was my 3rd visit to Mayrhofen over the last 20 years and it has grown and the lift access has improved vastly. Had a very relaxing holiday and there are plenty shops and cafes/restaurants to choose from in the evening. There is a Deli across from the Penkan lift that does the most delicious smoked ham sandwich, you know it is good when you see the lines of people there in the evening.

Beautiful traditional hotel with great views from the balcony, close to the town center and the cable car. The host Mrs. Elisabeth and all the staff were amazing, extremely friendly and helpful. The apartment was big and clean, the breakfast was delicious with wide variety of options. Car parking is comfortable just in front of the hotel. Now we stayed for two nights but because off the wonderful experience we will definitely come back for the skiing season

Location was perfect. We got the keys from the Manni Das hotel reception, We were under pressure to get to the Ski School shop, but they still gave us the keys and allowed me to come back and fill in the registration forms for the City tax. Apartments were only 150m from the hotel, and around 400m from the main ski lift, via a path along the river.
