Fabulous location & perfect accommodation for a family or group. Everything has been thought about to make your stay easy- we couldn’t recommend this accommodation more. As a family, we appreciated how easy it was to cook in the excellent equipped kitchen, all the space to sit, separate toilet to bathroom, easy parking & lovely balcony for a coffee. So much attention to detail by Patrick & Paul- we really appreciated all the little touches to make our stay so lovely. Mallnitz is great- so peaceful, not crowded, fabulous supermarket round the corner from apartment, plenty if eating options & a great base for hiking trails. We absolutely loved it.

The apartment in in a beautiful location - the nature, the mountains are striking. The accommodation itself was great as well, a really spacious apartment with fully equipped kitchen, the apartment is in general modern and very pleasant to be in. A part of the hotel is also a smal garden with a garden pond, where one can have a swimm - we didn't dare to (in April), but in summer it could be a great refreshment for sure. All in all, I can only recommend!

Mallnitz is a great place for waling in the mountains and e-biking. It has a lovely atmosphere and we would definitely stay again in hotel Kaerntnerhof with its homely atmosphere. There is a well equipped sport shop where you can buy anything you need for walking and they also rent e-bikes. A small walk from the center there is a large supermarket to buy what you need for the day.

Mallnitz is a picturesque small and beautiful alpine town.

Mallnitz is a picturesque small and beautiful alpine town. Once it was very important because of "Auto-Schleuse" train that brought cars under Tauern mountain ridge, through the tunnel, from Salzburger Land to Kaernten, and vice versa. More than 500 000 cars were transported that way each year, but today - because of the Tauern Autobahn - the number is around 100 000. Also, there is a nice skiing area in the near vicinity, the Ankogel. But, because other, more modern skiing facilities that were built in the meantime, also nearer to today's autoroutes, Mallnitz is not so busy anymore. Still, it has everything: from small pastry shops to restaurants, hotels and ski equipment shops. Small town square is pretty as well as fast stream that runs through town center. There is plenty of possibilities in Mallnitz for recreation: besides Ankogel ski area, there are "Langlauf", trekking and sledding trails, as well as public swimming pool (heated and closed) with wellness center and tennis courts. Everathing is first class.

A wonderful small village in the Austrian Alps.

A wonderful small village in the Austrian Alps. Just a 3 min car ride / or a longer walk away, you find a lovely area to hike and walk around in the nature. Die Ankogelbahn is also very close. the entire area is great and full of activaties and generous natural sceneries. I can only recommend the entire Hohe Tauern National Park.

Is a small town in a beautiful neighborhood, the area offers great excursions all year round. Its railway connection is organized according to Austria's professionalism. Billa grocery store locally. A smaller disappointment was for us the narrow selection of restaurants and pubs that opened was.

My room was equipped with a small kitchenette. The room was clean and spacious. The whole hotel has a lived-in feeling, like a family home, and a friendly atmosphere. The staff is really kind, knowledgeable, and flexible. There is a small bar in the lobby, and you have everything nearby that you would need. Restaurants, grocery store, bakery, bus stop. It is a superb value for the price and highly recommended.
