This was hands down the most amazing place we've stayed at during our trips around Europe. We were expecting a pleasant Austrian lodge, got a boutique luxury hotel instead. The service was way better than what we were comfortable with as we really didn't expect half of it. Prosecco for breakfast, scrambled eggs decorated with flowers, brilliant schnitzel for dinner, spotlessly clean rooms, stunning wooden floors and finishes, candles on the balcony with a lighter and blankets ready to enjoy the views, superbly comfortable beds and a big modern smart TV for that rainy evening. There weren't many guests when we came and it seems the owner put us up in the best room despite it being larger than our booking. The view was stunning. We'll be back.

Everything was great! -Huge breakfast window from 7.30 to 10.30, early bird or otherwise - you will have your continental breakfast one way or another. Breakfast had everything you need for the morning: tea; coffee; freshly cut vegetables; cheese and sausage cut selection; eggs; 3 types of yogurt; different muesli; fruits; all sorts of jams; honey; Nutella; different kinds of bread, both sweet and usual. -You were also allowed to take food to your room, get a takeaway from the restaurant which was literally 5 meters away from the hotel, so you could come there with you slippers. -Location is amazing, 7 minutes walking with snowboard boots and your board to the ski lifts. The supermarket and a gas station were also very close, 5 minute walk, so you can get whatever you need, whether it would be toiletries, or snacks. -Hotel also has quite big skiing/drying room, so that you can leave your boots and other things to dry. There is also a huge covered parking available if you are coming with a car. -Staff was extremely helpful. I had a late check-in and an early check-out, no problems there, both took me literally 30 sec each. Everyone was speaking English so I had no issues communicating. The staff made it feel like this is a family hotel, as everyone was so friendly. -Room was clean, bed was soft enough to have a good rest, room even had a TV, which was all in German, but still, better than nothing. Hot water was available at all times, which is not the case with some other hotels. Room also had a heater, and it was always quite warm in there. This was the biggest thing I was afraid of, as I was coming from a hot Cyprus island, but I was not disappointed a single bit! -The spa facilities were great! You get sauna, steam thingy and infrared room, clean showers, work out room, great balcony with an amazing view.

The property was spacious and immaculately clean. We had a late flight and didn’t arrive until 0100 but Helga was there to meet our party of 8 adults and kids and took the time to introduce herself to everyone individually. The kitchen was ideal for self catering with a good range of utensils and crockery. We also used the drying room which was incredibly useful. This Property is ideally located. The Kaltenbach gondola is a 5 minute walk. We had a fantastic skiing holiday and would highly recommend this wonderful place as a base.

We explored broad area among Innsbruck, ZillerTal, GerlosTal...

We explored broad area among Innsbruck, ZillerTal, GerlosTal & Krimml Waterfalls and TuxTal. Everything in distance ranging from 6 mins to one hour. Covid tests were also easily accessible always on our road either in Fügen Festhale or in Zell am Ziller Ärztehaus.

Kaltenbach on the Ziller Cycle Path; a beautiful bike tour...

Kaltenbach on the Ziller Cycle Path; a beautiful bike tour to Mayrhofen, with many inns serving delicious food. The Rosenalm is easily accessible by cable car from Zell am Ziller. For drivers, the Zillertal High Alpine Road is a real treat! We love Austria and its friendly people. Warm greetings from Saxony

A ski area that's easily accessible.

A ski area that's easily accessible. Relatively early in the valley, you're less likely to encounter traffic jams. Good facilities. Good restaurants. And we were very pleased with the prices (the lifts have become more expensive, but the restaurant prices, even at the top of the slopes, were very reasonable).

Not a particularly charming village, but you'll find...

Not a particularly charming village, but you'll find everything you need, and it's great that early skiers can enjoy it. There's a varied selection of slopes, plenty of good ski huts with delicious food, and good ski rental options.

Kaltenbach Hochzillertal is always worth a holiday.

Kaltenbach Hochzillertal is always worth a holiday. We ate at the Zirmstadl Almgasthaus at 1800m and were, as always, very satisfied. Excellent food, generous portions, and very tasty. Best regards from Jürgen Meßthaler

Staff are excellent, especially on arrival as I was late, Sebastian sent detailed note on how to access room key/hotel. This was fantastic as I was tired and just wanted to get into my room with no hassle.. Ben is a credit to the hotel, so helpful with information for all guest, super friendly as front of house staff, really makes guests welcome. Bar staff were brilliant always greeted you with a smile and a nice drink after a long day on the mountain. Staff 10/10

The apartment is spacious and rooms are wide، clean, modern. It has two toilets which was very convient for us The building is new with it's facilities and plenty free parking in the basement. Very kind, friendly and supportive hotel representative. Long balcony with plenty of space and chairs, which is good for big families

My room was changed from single room to junior suit at no extra cost. It was a superb room, lots of windows and awsome view. It was very close to the train station and next to big supermarkets. It was very peaceful and quiet because no kids were allowed. The cleanest hotel I have ever stayed.

We liked the flat generally speaking: it was modern, well-equipped, of high quality, quiet, with a nice view. It was very close to the slopes and 3 km away from Kaltenbach (nice walking path). If it snows a lot, you will need wheel chains however.
