The hotel had an amazing setting, with views of the mountains on one side, and Lake Achensee on the other. The staff are very curtious and helpful and we were met with a welcoming glass of Prosecco. The room was clean and spacious with a balcony looking out to the mountains. The bed was very comfortable as was the rest of the bedroom and bathroom. Breakfast was superb, with a short order chef working the omelette station, and plenty of choice of cold cuts, cheeses etc. There is a spa though with only one night, we did not have time to try it, though the outdoor pool, which is linked to the indoor pool, did look very inviting. The hotel also benefits from a large underground car park. We would be happy recommend this hotel to any future guests, and hope to return ourselves one day.

The property is super beautiful with really nice interior in the rooms. There is a pool, spa, sauna. The location is great and it’s only 10 mins walk to the lake!

We discovered this hotel and its location completely by chance — and it turned out to be an absolute gem. The entire setting is beautifully designed, with attention paid to every detail. Although the hotel is quite spacious, the way it’s laid out gives it a cozy, almost boutique feel. The wellness area is truly exceptional. We especially appreciated the textile-free zone and were pleasantly surprised by how respectfully other guests behaved — it created a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The food was excellent, the staff were friendly and professional, and the facilities cater equally well to those seeking an active holiday or pure relaxation. We loved that you can borrow bikes, trekking poles, and backpacks — we took advantage of the bike rental and everything was in perfect condition and super easy to arrange. All in all, this is genuinely one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at — and we travel a lot. Highly recommended!

We’ve had a great stay: amazing location and view, extra large room (50 sqm) with patio, very tastefully decorated in smallest detail, friendly and helpful staff, food was also perfect as variety and fine dining. Also, large garage, with chargers for electric cars. Everything exceeded our expectations 🤩

Located at the entrance to the Karwendel Nature Reserve in Pertisau, the Sonnenhof is next to the Achensee Golf Course. All rooms and apartments have a balcony with panoramic mountain views.

This was our first holiday as a family of three with our 4 month old baby boy - it couldn't have been more perfect!! Booking rather last minute and I was only able to book half-board which I have never done before however we will be coming back and we will be booking half-board again. The breakfast and dinners are out of this world! The choices available are incredible! The room was wonderful, wonderful views of the mountains from both of our balconies. Just perfect! For anyone with small children who want to get out and experience the mountains still, this is the place for you, the paths up and down the valleys and even up the mountains to a few huts/peak pushchair accessible. The staff were all excellent, incredibly friendly and the owners are also wonderful, working alongside their team. This whole experience couldn't have been more perfect for our little Family, so many firsts for our Son and so many precious memories made! Thank you and we most definitely will be back! 🥺☺️🏞️🏖️
