It is a fantastic hotel. They think about everything you may need when travelling with small kids. However the staff at the restaurant was the top. Such a friendly team running with hot plates among kids everywhere and still with a smile on their face. Wow! Food was absolutely delicious. We will hopefully arrive again.

A village in beautiful scenery that lacks something. Accessibility of services (hiking, lifts, restaurants) was a bit confusing. Many services did not have clear English instructions/price lists/online shops. The Tyrolean region summer card seemed to give you a much wider range of services than the Salzburger region.

I love it there, really much..

I love it there, really much.. There's everything for anyone - hiking in summer, skiing in winter, bathing, sauna world, attractions for children. And all about 5 minutes from highway, in sunny valley.

The ski resort is excellent.

The ski resort is excellent. A large number of slopes of all levels. Possibility to ski through up to 5 valleys. The slopes are good groomed. The cable cars had a sufficiently large capacity - queues only formed at the cable car connecting the valleys, but for a maximum of 5 minutes.

Flachau was nice quiet and cosy for now.

Flachau was nice quiet and cosy for now. I am sure that next month it will be more crowded since the saison starts in December. The apartment was excellent. The only thing that was missing was the hand soap in the bathrooms blinds from the windows in the bedrooms and an extra pair of towels or bed sheets.

Big and nice skiing area with many lifts and slopes for all. We often visited restaurant Unterbergalm and herzeralm which I can recommend. There are many places to eat and have fun on the slopes. It is well worth to visit Erlebnis Therme in Altenmarkt just few kilometers from Flachau.

Small, quiet village, the home of the legendary downhill...

Small, quiet village, the home of the legendary downhill skier Herman Meier, with a bank, small supermarket and bakery, approximately 1.25 hour’s car drive (traffic allowing) from Salzburg airport. A number of restaurants and central ski lift (‘Spacejet 1’) taking you up the mountain with good connecting lifts. Most runs are red so perhaps not the best for the nervous beginner. The village has a good ski bus connection and at least one of the ski rental shops right by the lift allows you to leave skis and boots overnight so you don’t have to carry them to and from your accommodation. I skied at the end of Feb 2023 and there was plenty of snow and sun on the slopes.

We had a really nice stay at the Hotel Flachauerhof. The room itself was big, bathroom and toilet separate, nice lounge area and clean, but no kettle / coffee making machine or fridge in the room. A big plus for the separate skiing room to store your equipment and the sauna area, we loved it after a long skiing day and it was never too crowded. We really appreciated the Hotel's effort for the breakfast buffet, especially the consideration of my partner being coeliac.
