Well….the atmosphere,from the reception (I think the owner was there)to the restaurant,everyone was friendly,helpful and we felt very welcome.This is a family business and when you open the menu you can see the history and pride of the family who owns the place,they are buying many local products to support the community.We look to have dinner there,the restaurant was full ,we found the last table in Gaststube and we had dinner ,I think most of the people where locals and we felt little bit between friends 😀This is not a 5 stars building but it is 5 stars home.We will return,thank you guys!Keep up with the great job!

Accommodation in Gasthaus_Pension zum Löwen OK. Too bad the restaurant was not open for dinner. Great dinners in "Asien wok"! The place is a good base for trips to the surrounding area - Linz, Steyr, Wels, The Hague...

Asten is a good starting point for excursions in and around...

Asten is a good starting point for excursions in and around Linz. Tillysburg Castle, St. Florian Abbey, and Linz itself (the Pöstlingberg Railway, the pilgrimage church there, and the grotto railway for children are highly recommended; a Danube river cruise is also a good option) are all worth a visit. For those interested, the Mauthausen Memorial is about 18 km away.
