They were renovating the central beach, which made it less appealing. But Miramar has beaches that are very different from other places on the coast, making it unique. It also has a lot of forest and is generally peaceful. The town center has shops of all kinds.

Miramar is absolutely beautiful! The beaches are spacious.

Miramar is absolutely beautiful! The beaches are spacious. The nursery is lovely, with the grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes, a truly peaceful place, and the Stations of the Cross with the wooden carvings are beautiful. The food is varied and very reasonably priced. Absolutely recommended.

Excellent beach resort with options to suit all budgets in...

Excellent beach resort with options to suit all budgets in terms of food and accommodation. Family-friendly atmosphere and a good variety of shops. The town could use a little maintenance on the streets and sidewalks, but this can be overlooked considering how much fun you have on the beach and at its bars and resorts.

The city is beautiful and easy to navigate, and the people are incredibly friendly. You'll receive excellent service in every business. The pedestrian area and surrounding streets are full of restaurants and cafes to suit all budgets, and the staff are always very welcoming. The public beaches are large, lively, and clean.

A city with a wide range of culinary offerings, prices to suit all budgets, an immaculate city—not a single piece of litter—very safe, with a very pleasant social atmosphere and respectful, polite people. The beaches are spacious and offer all amenities.

Miramar is a very nice, family-friendly place.

Miramar is a very nice, family-friendly place. What I didn't like was that they put metered parking from the beach to 23rd Street and from 9th Street to the port, from 8 am to 11 pm. If you plan to spend all day at the beach, it's expensive.

If you are a golfer and like the ocean this is a unique opportunity to stay 50 yards from the first tee of a top level Scottish links style course in excellent condition. Similar to CC of Fairfield in CT and Misquamaquet in RI, Miramar Links enjoys ocean views on every hole on this fine course...and when you stay in the parents a round of golf is about $5....or less than 1% of the cost of a round at Pebble Beach!
