Great hospitable hosts, we spent time in a really homely atmosphere. Excellent food (we also ordered dinner which was lovely) - everything was home made from their own produce. Clean room with a private bathroom. Parking space in front of the entrance. I definitely recommend!

Anoosh is a 5 star host in every way making me feel welcome and at home. She's quite possibly the best cook in rural Armenia. Her dinners are a highlight of my trip.
Anoosh organised transport from Yaraven to Tatev last minute for us as we didn't realise that the buses don't run every day.
Gora the drive picked us up from our hotel in Yaraven and drove us to Tatev stopping for sightseeing and walks to ancient monasteries, lunch, coffee and tea stops. We were so thrilled we asked him to drive us back to Yaraven via Goris, the suspension bridge and the ancient ruins of the cave community. . We had the best time..He is a brilliant driver always offering his best suggestions and safe driving in a really comfortable car.
I give Anoosh and Gora five stars.
Thank you so much to you both!!!

Really spacious and clean. The roads in Tatev are a bit wobbly so do pay attention when getting there. But there is private parking and the property is clean and tidy and very close to the Tatev Monastery

EDIT:
I was given the opportunity to change my review from Booking customer service, because the owners LIED in response to my original review. For this reason I'm changing the rating from 8 to 1, as this is scandalous and outrageous behaviour.
I do not consider them nice owners anymore.
Original review:
Very close to attractions in Tatev. Good breakfast. Very nice owners.
We arrived by shared taxi from Goris. Tatev is a very authentic and small village, close to Tatev Monastery with its incredible views of wild and beautiful Vorotan gorge. The roads are unpaved, there are no street lights at night, no ATMs. But if you love nature combined with culture, this is the place to be. If you have time, stay for 2 nights and I especially recommend you to go hiking from Tatev viewpoint through Tadzatap to the Great Hermitage of Tatev and further up to the Devil's Bridge. It's roughly a 8 km, 2.5 h and 650 m downwards hike and so worthwhile the effort.
We ate twice the delicious, organic and homecooked food at Tatev Info Café close to the Monastery; very recommended.
Our host helped us to get a private car to continue our travels to Kapan.

Warm welcoming couple .
Warm welcoming couple . Always ready for any help and beautiful house with breakfast full of organic food and they grow most of the stuff by themselves. It perfect as you might need a long bath to r home comfort after a hike down tatev or a swim in devil’s bridge.
I booked a camping site too but i was so tired that i choose a guest house and don’t regret it.

Tatev is much more than the famous monastery and the ropeway...
Tatev is much more than the famous monastery and the ropeway - it is a beautiful Armenian village where you can easily stay a few days - hiking, drinking coffee with the locals and relax. Many farm animals are especially fun for kids.
