Highly recommended! Oborri Shkodran is in a perfect location, right in the pedestrian area of Shkodër, but they offer parking very nearby, which makes things super easy. The staff are truly exceptional – and I mean really kind. They helped us with everything: carrying luggage, giving local tips, arranging things we needed… always with a smile. Not everyone speaks English fluently, but they always do their best to help out. You really feel welcome here. The rooms are great – modern and clean, with comfortable beds and excellent showers. We stayed in rooms 202 and 203, both had a small but handy balcony overlooking the peaceful garden. A nice detail. Breakfast is made on demand and was delicious. We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant – the food was good, and the live music created a lovely atmosphere. I honestly can’t say enough about how helpful and warm the staff were throughout our stay. From the hotel, you’re just steps away from the lively pedestrian zone full of restaurants, bars, and shops. The photography museum is right across the street (though we found that a bit underwhelming – the hotel was the real highlight). All in all, a great experience. We’d definitely stay agai

I had an amazing experience at Tribute Hotel during my recent stay in Shkodër. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming, professional, and always ready to help with anything I needed. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, modern yet cozy, with great attention to detail. My room was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable, with a lovely view of the city. The bed was perfect for a good night’s sleep, and the bathroom was clean and well-equipped with everything I needed. Breakfast was a real highlight — fresh, delicious, and served in a charming dining area. I especially appreciated the variety and the quality of local products offered. This time I saw Shkodra with different eyes.

This time I saw Shkodra with different eyes. The city’s diversity of people and cultural mix stood out strongly, and over the weekend the lively atmosphere of parties gave it an energetic spirit. What touched me most, however, were the Catholic churches scattered around the city. Stepping into them gave me a profound sense of spirituality and peace, balancing the vibrant social scene outside. Shkodra truly holds a unique charm – a place where culture, celebration, and spirituality come together beautifully.

Reviews we read of Shkoder said it's a university town with lots of biking. Not sure what those reviewers were writing about, but there weren't many bike friendly areas and the town was not as vibrant as we expected. We did spend some time in the Shiroka area on the lake a 10 minute or so drive from Shkoder and that was very nice - good restaurants and lake activities. We also went to the mountains and stayed in Theth, which was wonderful and highly recommended.

Shkoder is a lovely city with great views, food and nice...

Shkoder is a lovely city with great views, food and nice accommodation facilities. It's a safe place for families and youths with lots of activities around. In particular, the main city area near the beautiful Mosque is an absolute must for awesome food and shopping.

The approach road is currently under construction which...

The approach road is currently under construction which makes for an interesting drive, but the location tucked away alongside the border with Montenagro makes the effort worthwhile. We even walked into Montenagro (45minutes) for lunch!

The hotel is in a good central location on a quiet street, easy walk to restaurants, museums, etc. It is tastefully decorated and benefits from beautiful inner courtyard for eating, drinking and relaxing. There was a good breakfast choice and everything was freshly cooked. All the staff were helpful, friendly and professional. Car parking conveniently located in under the hotel. It was the best hotel we stayed in Albania.

This place is magical. Even better than the photos. The most stunning and ambient setting, Comfy beds and lovely bathroom. Restaurant food was the best we’ve had in Albania and our waiter was so kind and helpful and let us practice our Spanish! (sorry I can’t remember how to spell his name but think he was Serjat?) We stayed for 2 nights and used as a base to visit the Shala River and Shkoder. would recommend 100%!

Shipija e Gjyshit was in general one of the best hotels we stayed in Albania. The location was great, the view was amazing and the access was easy. The stuff spoke excellent english and were very very joyful and helpful during our stay. The room was nice but the service was even better, plus you get a swimming pool with views for a fair price.

Beautiful traditional Albanian museum style hotel with gorgeous courtyard for dining. Great breakfast spread - probably the best we've had and we've travelled quite a lot in Albania. Nice restaurant for evening meals. Staff booked our transport to Valbona and stored our luggage at no extra cost while we went to the Alps for 3 nights.
