Great historic old town with atmosphere, shopping, and restaurants. The rest of the city is typical, and has all amenities. Very tasty restaurants in the area. Lots of transportation options to get you to the mountains, or neighbouring countries.

I loved the lake view we had from the balcony of our B&B.
I loved the lake view we had from the balcony of our B&B. Our objective was to relax, and we really did. It was an easy walk down to the lakeside where we were treated to many varieties of birds and even saw schools of fish coming near the shore to feed in the evening. The area around Bella Vista had a number of good places to eat and (in town) a broad walkway for strolling and bicycling. The roads weren't great, but otherwise the location was fabulous. It was a good base for exploring the Rozafa Castle, the Mesi Bridge, and other cities further into the mountains. Having a car was a must, as we didn't see much public transit.

I travelled in a few towns in Albania but Shkoder is my favourite. It’s so relaxed and easy to walk and has a great history. Abu baker mosque is so beautiful inside and outside. It’s the only mosque I visited anywhere in the world with so much natural light. The architect did a very good job. The huge cathedral is also impressive. It has a very beautiful wooden ceiling and simple coloured windows. The town like most of Albania is full of bars and cafes. The walk along the lake is a must and also visiting the fortress which has panoramic views. One strange character of this town is the dogs mostly sleeping everywhere in the streets during the day and noisy at night.

I didn't get the impression many tourists stop off here but they should try it. A very relaxing city, with many nice outdoor cafes etc. A good place to wind down, and great value for money. If you want to break up the trip between Tirana and the Montenegro coast or v/v this is ideal. Buses for Montenegro leave outside Rozafa Hotel, other side of the road, on schedule. Buses to Tirana leave every hour close to this at the roundabout just north.

Lovely city, with much to do in the hinterland.
Lovely city, with much to do in the hinterland. Very good for walking, once you've oriented yourself. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Great base for exploring North Albania via tours. Galley Hostel is in fantastic location, near shops for food, furgon stop for Tirana, etc etc etc.
Hotel Blini has everything we need for our trip to Albania, our host arrange the transportation to go from Shkoder to Koman to take the ferry to Fierzë. Room was clean, with comfy beds and AC. Breakfast was delicious and overall Hotel Blini is a great value for money! Our host went above and beyond! One of the best host I ever had meet in my life! We left very happy and if we come back to Shkoder we definitely will be back to Hotel Blini. Thank you!
The staff was super kind and helpful, they were super nice with our dog Paco as well.
The room was clean and comfortable, they also added shampoo in the restrooms.
Nice terrace to chill and eat you can also ask for Pizzas and you have many close restaurants.
The hostess speaks very good English (not to take for granted in Albania).
Parking included and camera on it.
I suggest this location if you want to stay near Shkoder!
The room was very spacious and comfortable, the view over the lake was gorgeous but what we loved the most about our stay was the family that owns the hotel. We experienced exceptional Albanian hospitality and were treated like a part of the family. They were really attentive to our needs. The atmosphere is really friendly and the food the family cooks is delicious! We also really enjoyed the homemade raki.
Excellent staff who were always ready to help us and really go above and beyond - they booked our tickets for the Koman Ferry, as well as a taxi back from Theth and a taxi from Ulcinj (Montenegro) and could always answer our questions. The hotel itself is good with all the facilities in good condition. A great breakfast and a great location, only a short walk from the main streets in Shkoder.
The room was modern and comfortable, easily the best we stayed in while in Albania although on the smaller side and more expensive than other places we stayed - but scrupulously clean, with a lovely bathroom and a bed that was less firm than others we had experienced (which we liked). The staff were friendly and helpful, and available all hours. The hotel felt more businesslike than touristy.
The hotel is in the heart of Shkoder, just near the bus stop with buses to Tirana and buses to Montenegro.
The hotel is super clean and the staff are very welcoming and helpful. They organised a wonderful day trip for us. They are always ready to help you with all the issues. Breakfast in the hotel was gorgeous. I would highly recommend this property if you plan a visit to Shkoder.
They have incredible taste in decor, that brings you into Albanian culture and history. As avid cyclists we particularly appreciate the collection of antique bikes from around the world, including tandems! Amazing breakfast! Very friendly staff! When our room was small and noisy they quickly changed it and upgraded to a larger, beautiful room.
Sadi and Dennis are absolute Stars on customer service and friendly attitude. I want the owners of this hotel to be appreciative of these 2 employees and show it in a very good way. Loved how this place feels like home. Loved the rooms size and decor. I will stay here again next time I visit Albania.
The best stay we had in Albania. Maria made us exceptional breakfast (soup included!) and lunch, and Silva was the best host, super friendly and informative - told us a lot about Albanians and their culture. Very close to the end of Valbone - Theth hike, so you don't have to walk far after a long hike.
It’s a really comfortable and friedly place. The shared rooms, like the restaurant, is a very nice place to be with all the green plants and very nice food, fruit drinks etc. Like so many Albanian people, the collega’s of the hotel were very nice and helpful to make your stay comfortable.
Hospitality unlike any other. All smiles. A truly magical place. The chalet had the most comfortable bed I've experienced in Albania. Top notch food. Pool and restaurant were awesome. I wish we had more time. I highly recommend. Authentic memorable experience.
it was the cleanest and best hostel i stayed in albania, the washing machine was free and there were clean towels, the lady in charge was very polite,
I won't forget restaurant pire and this hostel in Shkoder.
Clean, modern amenities, close to the city center. Nice balcony, clear and easy check-in and check-out (which is not always the case in Albania!). Good spot to post up in Shkoder/the north.
the hotel is very clean which was my top priority in
choosing hotel in shkoder. it’s modern built with
everything basic that you would need , breakfast
spread was fine.
The staff was very friendly and allowed us to move rooms. The hotel is good for a shorter stay if you want to experience something in the north of Albania.
