Bujtina KOEL was our favourite place out of all the places we stayed on a three-week trip around Albania. The owner, Thanas, is a real gentleman and takes such pride in the place he has built, and how he looks after his guests. We arrived as guests and left as friends. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. Thanas is a great chef, and teams up with a local, Nina, when needed. Together they presented us with true feasts for dinner. Thanas's homemade Raki was graciously shared with us after dinner. The location is great - it's an adventure to get to but the views are amazing. Absolutely worth visiting.

The hotel is in a quiet area, but you need a car. The room are big and very clean , in the bathroom you have everything you need. The breakfast is very good and enough. We eat the most amaizing honey ! The old town is at 15 minutes by car.

We had a fantastic stay at the villa with our kids. The location in a quiet village close to nature made it very relaxing, and the children enjoyed exploring the surroundings. The villa itself was spotless, spacious, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable family stay. A truly unforgettable stay! My husband and I had an amazing time during our stay. We enjoyed absolute peace and quiet, surrounded by endless greenery and right next to a historic site. The food, prepared by Gero, was absolutely delicious from traditional local dishes to his authentic pizzas, everything was full of flavor and made with care. But what truly made our experience special was the incredible team. Everyone was so kind and welcoming, and we definitely made new friends. A special mention goes to Agush ,unbelievably funny, full of energy, and truly the heart and soul of the hotel. He will forever have a special place in our hearts. We’ll definitely be back soon!

The host was amazing. He gave us fresh fruits, and we spent a cosy night with him, talking, with some raki and wine he served us. We also fell in love with the cat 🐈 The apartment has everything you need + a washing machine, which is great! It's a big place with a good bed and a television with netflix. The kitchen has 4 cooking plates and an oven. The bathroom is small but comfy with a good shower. The place is close to a horse riding facility where you can do beautiful hikes with the horses. If you are looking for a nice, quiet place near Gjirokaster: this is it!

This spot is incredible. The rooms felt modern and had everything we needed for a short stay. The staff was very friendly. We had lunch and breakfast here and very much enjoyed ourselves. We were even sad we didn't have our dinner there too. The location initially seemed far from the castle and old town but there is a shortcut. It is a steep 8mins walk to get to the castle but doable.

The welcome and the helpfulness of maradona, the owner, he went out if his way to satisfy all our needs, he even drove us to grijokaster Castle in his own car free of charge. Rooms are very clean too and the food in the restaurant was good and inexpensive.

Hotel Gjirokastër is located 300 metres from the centre, in a part of town famous for numerous museums.
