Everything is modern, clean, comfortable, all facilities and amenities were top quality (cooker fridge washing machine) the shower had a brilliant powerful hot shower. Attention to detail on all finishes the hotel is luxurious. There is parking in front of the hotel and its all secure and safe! The family who run the hotel are hospitable, so kind, helpful, they took care of everything. I really like how hospitable the family was and made our stay that more comfortable and special. Thank you to them so much to the family

I was there in 2023, the hotel was renovated now, and it is much better. In the evening there was a live music in the lounge. We organized a big regional conference and the hotel provided amazing service.Traditional food was amazing.

The room was with amazing view on a high floor. In the hotel there is a rooftop bar with nice drinks and view to the city and nearby mountains. Our room was with very comfortable beds.

The place is blessed by nature with beautiful hills and lakes but unfortunately there are plenty of trash everywhere. One must be aware that there are no taxis in the region. There are only a few hotels with international standards. Fantastic food is easy to find. Visited in Summer 2023

This is absolutely Not a tourist town so if you like...

This is absolutely Not a tourist town so if you like authentic, daily life encounters this is a welcoming town. We spent a day hiking and another day driving to Peshkopia to enjoy the thermal baths and see more of the country. Kukës seems to be a very fast-growing town with lots of infrastructure improvements underway. Every evening the main street is blocked off so the town can some stroll. SO civilized. Our stay at the Gjallica Hotel was delightful and we cannot recommend it highly enough! They make the Best bread in Albania so their Pizza is also the best.

I really liked the knowledgeable staff, a young boy advised...

I really liked the knowledgeable staff, a young boy advised me from the yard to the reception, good English, polite, arranged for a receptionist to come, took care of me, knew how to do it. Very rare to be taken care of from the yard to the inside, inside to the outside, right away in the morning again. Felt safe.

The stay was very good, although there wasn't much to see in the surrounding area. The residents were very helpful and friendly, so we were allowed to climb the tower for free, which offered a beautiful view of the surrounding area.

Kukes is a place where tourists rarely venture, apart from a few motorcyclists. It was a strange experience being surrounded by old Soviet infrastructure, yet seeing all sorts of luxury cars on the roads.

Kukës itself is not very attractive, but it is conveniently...

Kukës itself is not very attractive, but it is conveniently located on the way to Albania, very close to the Vërmicë border crossing from Kosovo. From there you can head into the mountains or along the new highway towards the coast.
