Great Stay , Great hosts will be back , I Travelled alone for a weekend stay for 2 nights . I arrived late and were very accommodating. Unfortunately on the second night I had popped over to Greece the day before and on return was stuck at the border so slept in the care, I was unaware that the border closed. I arrived back at the hotel at 7:30 am and served a formidable espresso .
Highly Reccomend Albania, for its natural authentic beauty and wonderful people.

Really beautiful place, very cheap food and beer, roughly €2 a large bottle. Weather was fantastic and beaches unreal. Great restaurants very close by. We tried Family Restaurants twice and could not fault it. Super cheap meals

Some of the beaches are very nice.
Some of the beaches are very nice. The weather is very good and the food is very nice and very cheap. There are a few nice bars and clubs to go out in the evening but its not too loud. The village is still quite basic, lots of potholes and no road markings and many buildings are not permanant structures. Given the growth in the local economy I have no doubt this part of Albania will catch up very rapidly with other parts of Europe.

If you are looking for the quite sand beach, this is not your place. Try to stay in Sarande and take the bus to Ksamil just for the day. Ksamil is over crowded, every beach is a private one, and the music from the bars and hotels is too loud. Is not the quite paradise you are looking for.

About 15 to 20 years away from being what Greece and Croatia...
About 15 to 20 years away from being what Greece and Croatia are now. The town is not set up to welcome the influx of tourists it sees. There is no real pedestrian area. It looks rough and unmaintained. It is generally very dirty (trash everywhere).
It was marketed on Instagram as 'the Maldives of Europe'. It is more the 'Tenerife of the Balkans'.
The water is indeed gorgeous, but every inch of beach is packed and rented out, sometime at extortionate prices.
A couple of standouts:
- August Beach (mostly locals, plenty of space, no overly loud music)
- The Blue Water Hotel restaurant (and the staff is excellent)
- Mëndra Traditional restaurant
- The Mussel House restaurant
Recommend renting a car and making Albania a road trip. Visit Ksamil only for a couple of days, max.

We visited the beachbar and restaurant near the Orange beach...
We visited the beachbar and restaurant near the Orange beach club and pods sunrise, the beach area I think was Plazhi Ksamilit - I have never seen water that blue!
The food was really nice and we could rent a sun lounger near by for about 30 euro for 2, and we stayed there for the day.
They have really good food options, pancakes for breakfast, omelettes, pizza, salads etc for lunch so lots of variety.
The place we rented for the day had bar service which was also great. If you're looking for a mix between a chill day and a really good nightlife then this is the place for you.
There was a foam party happening next door to us which looked like a good time if that is your cup of tea!
There seemed to be something for everyone and I would definitely visit again in the future.
We met people there who were just doing a day trip from Corfu which is very doable also and is enough time to get a good feel of the place.
Christina and her family provided us an excellent first experience to Albania. The team managing the hotel were professional, kind and helpfulness beyond their role and responsibilities. The room was beautiful with the most stunning views to the ocean, all the action on the beach and for watching sunsets. Breakfast were plentiful and lots to choose from. The location is PERFECT. Walk to everything!
We hope to be back next year with at least two other couples and we look forward once again to the family hospitality of Hotel Utopia
First of all, the people are really, really nice. We felt very welcome and they helped us with everything we needed.
Also the location is good! Everything is within walking distances. Only if you want to the more crowded beaches it is a bit longer walk, but still very nearby (15 min)
We got a very clean, luxurious room and a very nice shower (which has been very rare for us in Albania). We were really happy with our bathroom and rest of the room
We have stayed at many places in Albania, but this has been the best one!
Geri is a very friendly guy and was always happy to help. Despite the rest of his family didn't know much English they were very also very friendly. The room was very clean and everything was great. The ac and fridge worked very well. Bathroom very Albanian style but for me was fine and also very clean. Great homemade breakfast. Location is great, like 2/3 min walking from ksamilit beach and the main road. They also let us keep the car parked in front of the house during the morning after we check out.Really recommend.
Exceptional hotel. The environment was pleasant and welcoming. The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. The breakfast was ok. The view from the room was very good. The location is very close to the beach- it is 5 min walking distance and there are a lot of them to choose. Also they have a very good restaurant. Nearby bars had very loud music all day but this is has nothing to do with the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Ksamil. Would definitely stay there again.
The hotel is in a really good location. It’s close to the sea (and best beaches) and near many of the restaurants but is on a quiet road and really peaceful. There are lovely views of the sea and islands too. The hotel itself is really clean and modern with comfortable beds and good facilities. Nice to have a dip in the pool after a day sightseeing or coming back from the beach. Staff are all really friendly and breakfast good.
There are no words to describe this hotel ,exceptional staff avery clean room the interior decor is my taste exactly fresh and clean with feminine touch
Right infront of the beautiful beach of lory, paradise all , very relaxing, the beach were free maybe because its September
bus to saranda is just 10 min walk
Breakfast is olso excellent with amazing view and vibe
Really its the best in ksamil , excellent value for money
The entire staff was extremely helpfull and very sweet. We got two nights for a very good price, so we didnt expect much, but the placement of the hotel was perfect in terms of beaches and "down town". You have to walk up a little "hill" but you have to do that most places in Albania. The rooms was fine, and had the basics of what we needed. But the staff really did it for us (family owned). Faleminderit shumë :)
We stayed at hotel olive for 3 nights, first time in Albania and really enjoyed it. The hotel is a good location, about 5/10 mins walk to loads of restaurants and one of the many beaches is a 2 min walk. The on site restaurant is very nice, mainly fish dishes. All the staff are lovely and will go out of their way to help you. Clean hotel and quiet rooms with comfy beds. Will definitely be back, thank you.
Best position in Ksamil above the hotels and beach. It was a short walk down the hill to the beach and beach bars. There was good parking and it was easy to find.
The real highlight of this guesthouse is the family run atmosphere, the exceptional terrace and really good food. We are here most evenings looking across over a view of the islands, the bay and Corfu majestically in the background.
We came to celebrate our honeymoon and they upgraded us to the spa bath room.
The staff were amazing they were very polite and nice.
The location is the best in ksamil right on the beach and there are free beds to hotel guests.
The view from the room to the beach is amazing.
Paid dinner was very good
We had a great experience.
A lovely family hotel managed by Tony, the hotel is 100 meters from the beautiful beach of Kesmil, the service is great, the family is great, the staff of the hotel is great, 10000000 stars, if we return to Albania, we will also return to this hotel, we had a great time
It is lovely Hotel close to the all beach and big Supermarket. The room had everything we need and well organized. The swimming pool is very pleasant for a family. It located perfectly in center of Ksamil. It was not only value for money but also a very pleasant stay.
We loved the warmth, kindness and generosity of Petro and his mother Stella. Great people running a great place. Close to the beach and the city centre.
Superb homemade breakfast with the most delicious "petula" ( freshly fried) you would ever try in Albania!
it is a awesome place with very big and clean rooms! the host is super nice and will give you very good tips for the area.
the location is perfect, you can walk super easily to all beaches of ksamil. one of the best stays in albania so far. highly recommend!!
The breakfast was ok, staff friendly and ready to help. The two room apartment, with two bathrooms, was perfect for us. We were 5 people. The apartment also had a kitchen. The hotel was within walking distance from the nearest and even best beaches in Ksamil.
This is the best hotel I've stayed in recently and most definitely the best hotel in Ksamil. Everything is brand new and the staff is really helpful and friendly. The wi-fi signal is good and their air conditioning is amazing .
Location is great, about 10 min walk to the beach.
Owners are very friendly and nice. If you want to taste of Albanian hospitality this is the place to be.
We definitely will stay at this place next time we visit Ksamil.
Quite place ,
Nice view, good privacy, good hospitality, really it was the best hotel we went until now in albania thank you for everybody there as they do their best to make us happy.
A beautiful and spotless hotel . The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was the best one we had in Albania! I would definitely recommend !
