Our stay was pleasant and we felt very comfortable during our stay. The staff made everything to keep us happy - for example the room service was like in a five star hotel. Food was good but the menu could be more versatile. Hotel is located in the hills and it has a beautiful garden with chill pool area where is collection of water toys so you won't get bored during your sunbathing. There are also cute hammocks to have a nap during the day. Hotel offers also massages but the prices could be a little bit cheaper. It was a perfect hotel for relaxation and we didn't even want to leave the hotel area. Special thanks to Marjan and Claudio. And also the boys working in the restaurant. You are doing a great job, keep it up! <3

Fantastic hotel in the center of Durres! Our room was very nice, was super clean, and had an excellent bathroom/shower. We arrived a bit early, but the staff was able to prepare our room and let us in (thanks again)! The location is perfect for exploring Durres and the beaches around the city, and there are lots of restaurants, bars, shopping, etc. nearby. The breakfast was also very good with a lot of options. We could see the sea and ferry port from our room.

Great authentic decor, the heritage from back in time when it was french embassy. We had luxury suite which was very nice. The only issue was a breakfast, menu ala carte, we were waiting for eggs 50min. in the end got them super oversalted, the acocado in the dish was also not eatable as it was not rape, I mean totally. Thank God we haven’t try their restaurant and choose another place accoding their advice by the way.

Durres is a nice relaxing place to stay, a lot of history.

Durres is a nice relaxing place to stay, a lot of history. plenty of shops, people were helpful, plenty of small bars most selling food at very reasonable prices. A walk along the beach is recommended where there are many restaurants with lots of variety. if travelling i would recommend taking a bus as taxis are rather expensive i.e. a bus from the airport will cost 7 euro whilst a taxi will cost around 37 euro.

When we visited the busy season had finished so a lot of the restaurants were closed. I think the resort would be very lively in the main season. Would recommend visiting before the middle of September

We hired electric bikes and rode across the city, which has lots of historical sites. The people are friendly and welcoming. The food is also amazing here. There are local homemade foods too. We came in September and it was still warm enough to tan but not so hot you couldn’t enjoy walking or exercising.

Durrës is a very diverse city, with both modern buildings and unfinished construction as well as scattered trash. The seafront promenade is long and pleasant, lined with plenty of restaurants and small shops. Public transport is available and inexpensive, with a bus ticket costing 40 lek. You can also find bike rentals for exploring the city.

I find that the banking situation is an obscene scam. All of my credit card purchases serviced by Raiffheisen Bank were declined at grocery stores for some reason. Several ATMS did not provide me with cash. I had to take cash out of an ATM that charged me $50 US Dollars to take cash out, because the card servicer wasn't approving the card transactions at the grocery store. I have not had this serious of a problem in any other country. I didn't really explore a lot. I wish there was a store that carried camping/hiking equipment. I think the coastline is nice. The restaurant prices seem to be reasonable. Mostly I stayed in my room at my hostel by myself so I can't really be reliable to rate the entire city.

Know where you are going and evaluate it accordingly! Durres is a city that is developing at a rapid pace, including the coast, the port and the city. The coastal promenade began to be transformed in 2022 and it turned out beautifully! It has one shortcoming, there is no garbage collector anywhere by the sidewalk, despite this, there is no garbage anywhere. Along the coast, you can still see the buildings left from the 19th century fishing village, some of them are still inhabited (!), in some places there is still a pile of garbage, beggars walk around in the evening, but the sea is fine, the transformation of the coast was very successful. Getting into the city from the hotel row by bus is inconvenient. It is nice to see how the city and the coast are completely transformed and modernized over the years. In 2025, three new hotels will be built on the hotel row, within a kilometer, and the handover is scheduled for 2026. Let's take a look! The food is pretty much the same everywhere, good, as are the prices, but the hospitality at the DELFINI restaurant is excellent! The people are nice and friendly. The traffic, oh my, you have to pay attention! The one whose car is ahead has priority. They honk, but despite that, they are patient and understanding with foreigners. In previous years, there was a concrete-lined beach area in front of some hotels, which was being cleaned up. Unfortunately, the concrete pieces can still be found underwater, which is very unpleasant to step on. Beachgoers throw the concrete pieces onto the beach, and the garbage truck takes them away the next morning. It would be nice to sift this out with a machine! In Italy, we saw a tractor that sifted and cleaned not only the beach sand, but also the sand in the shallow water. It should be done here, too!

Great location with amazing view, family owned hotel with great hospitality and welcoming and warm atmosphere. We arrived later in the evening and decided to have dinner there, which was perfect idea! One of the best seafood we’ve ever had with fresh ingredients (and good raki!!). The breakfast was simple but good! The host was super kind and shared recommendations about Albania😊 Highly recommend!

The rooms were spacious, clean and overall very good. The hotels beach area was very nice with great friendly and attentive service ( well done Julia)Everything in general was good. Helpful friendly staff. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Am not being picky as this industry is new to Albania. Just think a few things could make a world of difference

We had a pleasured stay for two nights at Irena‘s Apartment. It is just a little walk from the beach a way and had everything that we needed for our first nights in Albania. Irena was in contact with us all the time and helped us wenn we asked for help. We would definitely come back wenn we need an apartment in Durrës.
