Very friendly and helpful staff. They really like all of their guests and do everything for their comfort. The big plate of fresh fruits were waiting us in the room after check in. Rooms a not big, but very clean. Location is good. There are a lot of markets and restaurants nearby. Beach area is perfect. Sunbeds are marked by the room number and it will be waiting for you whenever you want to visit the beach. Breakfast has a lot of dishes and drinks. All of them are fresh and tasty. Also we really liked how the restaurant looks like. Me and my husband had a wedding anniversary while stayed at the hotel, so the personal made a surprise for us. It was very pleasant. We exactly recommend this hotel.

If you travel by local transport, the villa is very close to the bus station. It was very easy to find, everything exactly as in the pictures and very clean, the owners are always available to help you. Tourist attractions very close. I recommend with all my heart, I can't imagine staying anywhere else.

Durres is a nice relaxing place to stay, a lot of history.

Durres is a nice relaxing place to stay, a lot of history. plenty of shops, people were helpful, plenty of small bars most selling food at very reasonable prices. A walk along the beach is recommended where there are many restaurants with lots of variety. if travelling i would recommend taking a bus as taxis are rather expensive i.e. a bus from the airport will cost 7 euro whilst a taxi will cost around 37 euro.

When we visited the busy season had finished so a lot of the restaurants were closed. I think the resort would be very lively in the main season. Would recommend visiting before the middle of September

We hired electric bikes and rode across the city, which has lots of historical sites. The people are friendly and welcoming. The food is also amazing here. There are local homemade foods too. We came in September and it was still warm enough to tan but not so hot you couldn’t enjoy walking or exercising.

Durrës is a very diverse city, with both modern buildings and unfinished construction as well as scattered trash. The seafront promenade is long and pleasant, lined with plenty of restaurants and small shops. Public transport is available and inexpensive, with a bus ticket costing 40 lek. You can also find bike rentals for exploring the city.

I find that the banking situation is an obscene scam. All of my credit card purchases serviced by Raiffheisen Bank were declined at grocery stores for some reason. Several ATMS did not provide me with cash. I had to take cash out of an ATM that charged me $50 US Dollars to take cash out, because the card servicer wasn't approving the card transactions at the grocery store. I have not had this serious of a problem in any other country. I didn't really explore a lot. I wish there was a store that carried camping/hiking equipment. I think the coastline is nice. The restaurant prices seem to be reasonable. Mostly I stayed in my room at my hostel by myself so I can't really be reliable to rate the entire city.

Know where you are going and evaluate it accordingly! Durres is a city that is developing at a rapid pace, including the coast, the port and the city. The coastal promenade began to be transformed in 2022 and it turned out beautifully! It has one shortcoming, there is no garbage collector anywhere by the sidewalk, despite this, there is no garbage anywhere. Along the coast, you can still see the buildings left from the 19th century fishing village, some of them are still inhabited (!), in some places there is still a pile of garbage, beggars walk around in the evening, but the sea is fine, the transformation of the coast was very successful. Getting into the city from the hotel row by bus is inconvenient. It is nice to see how the city and the coast are completely transformed and modernized over the years. In 2025, three new hotels will be built on the hotel row, within a kilometer, and the handover is scheduled for 2026. Let's take a look! The food is pretty much the same everywhere, good, as are the prices, but the hospitality at the DELFINI restaurant is excellent! The people are nice and friendly. The traffic, oh my, you have to pay attention! The one whose car is ahead has priority. They honk, but despite that, they are patient and understanding with foreigners. In previous years, there was a concrete-lined beach area in front of some hotels, which was being cleaned up. Unfortunately, the concrete pieces can still be found underwater, which is very unpleasant to step on. Beachgoers throw the concrete pieces onto the beach, and the garbage truck takes them away the next morning. It would be nice to sift this out with a machine! In Italy, we saw a tractor that sifted and cleaned not only the beach sand, but also the sand in the shallow water. It should be done here, too!

The Olivia's Hill Hotel is new. Everything looks really modern. The rooms and facilities are great. 5 storey accommodation with roof terrace on top. Super food and great staff. Very friendly and all speak English as well as Albanian. Coffee and drinks good price and lots to choose from on the menu. Breakfast was plentiful but a bit European for me. Pool fantastic with loads of sunbeds, free towels and plenty of shade if you needed it. A great place to stay in Durres. We'll done.

Nice location, comfortable beds. Anyway for sure it´s not a 4* hotel. Please bear in mind that all standard in Albania are lower than in the EU. 4* hotels are in reality 3* in the European classification. Located just by the sea but quite far away from nice beaches. The ones just outside the hotel are not the best quality. Many restaurants around and lively area with some other attractions. They have a terrace on the top floor with a nice view around the area.
