This hotel is a hidden gem. We stayed in the cottage room with a direct access to the massive pool from our terrace. The room is beautiful and really well equipped with beds, sofa, decently sized mini fridge and large bathroom with a walk in shower. I loved that the swimming pool is just out there and you can dip in whenever it occurs to you. The staff were amazing - we received fruit platter and Karak as welcome, both the guys in the reception as well as the team in the restaurant were super attentive - and made us feel very welcomed. The food was very good and with good prices. I like the location, just 5 mins driving is a public beach (in front of the Sea Breeze buildings) where we love to go and in the same time it is very easy to get from Kay Homes to the main RAK street and to the highway. I also appreciated that the security of the establishment was great. Some guests were a bit noisy in the night in the pool (the pool is open 24/7), we called the reception and the security came immediately and asked the guests to keep it low - so no worries, your relax in Kay Homes will not be disturbed.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and couldn't be more impressed! The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The new towels and bed linens were a great touch, adding to the overall comfort. The owners clearly pay attention to every detail, making sure that guests have a pleasant experience. I would like to give a special mention to the Reception team, Rizwan and Ashifa. They were both incredibly professional, friendly, and went above and beyond to make our stay even more enjoyable. Their warm hospitality and helpfulness truly made a difference. Overall, I had a fantastic time and highly recommend this hotel. The attention to detail, cleanliness, and amazing service made it a memorable experience. I will definitely be returning!

An Emirate Aiming for the Stars

Much like its fellow emirates, Ras al Khaimah views the future as a world of opportunity, most evident in the capital city of the same name (also called Ra’s al Khaymah or RAK).

Although its skyline is not yet as dramatic as Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, RAK still has plenty of skyscrapers, many housing hotels and apartments on Booking.com. Some overlook its long, sandy beach, alongside luxury resorts. Watersports activities include diving, and to the south-west is Ice Land waterpark.

Desert safaris are a great way to explore the rugged terrain behind the city, site of Al Sawan camel racetrack and Ras al Khaimah Airport. One of the world’s first spaceports is also planned to be out here.

Saqr Park on the capital’s outskirts is the largest UAE park, and the Tower Links Golf Club is another green spot by a lagoon joined to the sea via Ras al Khaimah Creek. The nearby beachfront Corniche is a popular picnic spot, with landscaped gardens and lots of boutiques and cafés.

More shops are in Manar Mall and the ‘Little India’ district of Al Nakheel. The old city has a bustling souk and the National Museum of Ras al Khaimah, housed in Al Hisn Fort. Another important sight is majestic Sheikh Zayed Mosque with its 4 graceful minarets.

Ras Al Khaimah offers a unique blend of natural beauty, cultural experiences and modern amenities. It's less crowded than Dubai or Abu Dhabi, which makes it perfect for those looking for a more relaxed, peaceful getaway. The beaches are pristine, and the mountains provide stunning views and hiking opportunities, especially if you’re into outdoor activities. Ras Al Khaimah is great for relaxation, it’s not as vibrant or bustling as Dubai. If you're looking for non-stop entertainment, shopping, or nightlife, it might feel a bit too quiet. There are fewer high-end shopping malls or entertainment complexes compared to other UAE cities.

Ras Al Khaimah is a peaceful, safe, and pleasant city that’s easy to get around by car. It offers a wide variety of hotels to suit all budgets, along with an impressive selection of restaurants covering different cuisines, price ranges, and dining styles. Visitors with time to explore can enjoy relaxing on the beach, shopping at modern malls, or taking part in water activities such as boat tours, or organized cruises. For nature lovers, the city is close to stunning natural landscapes, including Jebel Jais—the UAE’s highest peak—where visitors can enjoy scenic drives, hiking, and even the world’s longest zipline. There are also several cultural sites worth visiting, such as the National Museum, historic forts, and traditional souks. Families will find plenty of child-friendly attractions, from water parks and playgrounds to desert safaris and wildlife experiences. Ras Al Khaimah offers a great mix of relaxation, adventure, culture, and fun for all types of travelers.

If you're considering this property, be sure to double-check a few things before booking. The only standout feature during my stay was the indoor female pool — clean, quiet, and well-maintained. However, the rest of the experience was underwhelming. The room cleanliness was not up to standard, and some amenities listed — like one of the restaurants and the spa — were not operational without any prior notice. If you're booking a sea-view room, be aware that the view might not match your expectations. Mine faced a main road and construction site, with only a distant glimpse of the sea. Also, beach access is walkable (5-7mins) — it requires a buggy ride to and from the beach area. I recommend confirming in advance what facilities are open, verifying the actual view from the room, and understanding how beach access works to avoid disappointment.

My tip for all those who will come to RAK i would say do a good search for ur accomdation .dont just pick something on pictures. check guest review. if u are going for business or couples or with children...each person has different needs. Try traditional and local food .its really good and tasty. dont just stay in the hotel and eat there.

The hotel is nice. Our room was very comfortable. The option of having a private swimming pool is great, especially with a late check-in. The hotel has beautiful grounds. it’s very pleasant to walk around. I also liked one of the swimming pools with a gorgeous sea view. And of course, the food: the buffet at Cinnamon was very good, and the à la carte menu at the other restaurant was also excellent.

Breakfast is good with good variety. The Ula restaurant is very good and the Ula beach club is nice. Beach is clean. The hotel arranged a pick up for us quickly when we had problems with our own transport to the hotel. The transport back from RAK to Dubai was very good with good car and good driver.
