This is one of those places you don't want to rate, because that would mean you are giving out a secret you don't want anyone to know, because you want to be there all the time 🙂 It's a gem of a place if you want privacy, birdsongs, nature and fully equipped, clean little house to yourself.

Set in Serra de São Mamede Natural Park, Quinta das Lavandas enjoys scenic views of the 1,4 acre lavender and lavandin grosso field that blooms during the first 15 days of July.

The host went above and beyond to insure that we were extremely happy with the choice of room. We went to celebrate a birthday and she went the extra mile to make it special for him. I was overwhelmed with the beauty of the room, the house and property. Helena is an artist with exquisite taste and you can see that reflected in everything she does. She is kind, warm and generous. The breakfast feast is amazing. So many choices even for us vegetarians. The shower was lovely, incredibly hot. The bed was so comfortable and extra large, the biggest bed I've ever seen. Our dogs were kindly welcomed and they enjoyed their vacation. The views on the property will take your breath away. We will definitely be back soon!

Room looked even better than at the photo. It was clean and comfortable. No problem with parking. Also the host was friendly and ready to help with anything. Helped with heavy luggage - thank you. It is worth staying at least one night here to see the sunset or the sunrise in Marvão. Breathtaking!

Marvao and our accomodation was a highlight so far on our 17 day road trip of Portugal. The apartment was authentic and very comfortable, bed was super comfortable with lots of warm doonas, the bathroom was clean with great hot water. We were the only guests for the night, kitchen facilities downstairs and a lounge. We ate out but did use the fridge. Coffee machine and our own cereal breakfast made a great start to the morning. Host, Maria, was very welcoming and explained things well. A great stay within the city walls and an easy walk to the castle. Recommend this place for an overnight stay.
