Absolutely unique design and localisation just at the lake! Boat trip at the morning at very low cost was amazing. Highly recommend!

The rustic charm and quirkiness of the treehouse exceeded expectations. The staff we’re fantastic and took us on a private safari in Udawalawe (about 25 minutes away) where we got so close to the elephants. They also arranged a guided canoe trip on the nearby lake - sadly no bathing elephants this time but plenty of other wildlife to see. The evening meal we had there was perhaps the best curry I have ever eaten and all of this at exceptionally good prices. We spoke to several people who went to Yala and spent far more, saw far less and didn’t seem get anywhere near the experience we did.

A true paradise – the perfect place to relax! Our stay at this villa was absolutely exceptional. From the very first moment, we felt completely at home – the hosts were incredibly kind and attentive. One day I wasn’t feeling well, and the owner personally brought me medicine. Thanks to his care, I felt better right away – such kindness truly touched me. The villa itself is stunning – surrounded by nature, with a private and very clean pool that was perfect for relaxing at any time of day. The room and bathroom were pure luxury: spacious, beautifully designed, and spotless. The daily breakfasts were delicious, and the peaceful atmosphere of the place allowed us to truly unwind – body and soul. This is one of those places you simply don’t want to leave. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a calm, comfortable, and beautiful stay in Sri Lanka.

Leels safari cottage, a pocket of paradise. we spontaneously booked our stay here for 2 nights in hopes to do a safari. We’ve been travelling Sri Lanka for over a month now and I can say this has been the nicest place we have stayed at. The pictures are exactly like the place which we were so pleased about, the room its self is beautiful, comfortable beds, beautiful layout and decoration with the blessing of air con and a fan. They also supply mosquito nets, this was the first place we weren’t bitten once! As for the bathroom it’s wonderful, full of plants with an rainforest vibe. It’s all so clean and well stocked with a kettle, wardrobe, shelf’s and great mirrors. The attention to detail is amazing you can tell a lot of love and hard work has been put into this place. The lighting is lovely giving it a cosy feel. We had breakfast included and added on dinner for both nights as the food was too good! Cooked by the loveliest ladies who do everything they can to make sure you’re happy. So much selection for both breakfast and dinner really yummy and enjoyable. It’s the perfect place to relax but also seek adventure. We woke up early one morning to go for a run, the area is lovely everybody smiles and says hello. and the views are really beautiful with thriving nature. We went to an elephant orphanage near by, luckily they know people for transport etc and Leel suggested this activity for us, we didn’t know about this place prior our visit! But so glad we went it was amazing! Our second day was Safari day, we were delighted that Leel himself is one of the greatest safari tour drivers, so we set off early in the morning and embarked on our safari around Udawalawe. I know it will be one of my favourite memories we are really grateful for Leel and his dedication to make sure we had the best time and see as many beautiful animals as possible! Simply one of the best place of our stay. There is not enough stars to give for the experience we lived. The cabanas are cute, very functional, clean and the AC works amazing. The value for money is incredible here. The owner will make you feel right at home and will care for you as no one. We enjoyed his company and his ability to talk about anything. To us there was no better host the whole stay. Finally the cherry on top: the safari. 5h at the best price I was quoted. We spent a wonderful morning exploring the park with his uncle. They were able to spot so many animals, we experienced amazing scenes such as elephants drinking or taking mud baths with babies. They drove us to places with no other jeeps and were so attentive of our well being. A HUGE thank you for making this experience truly amazing. Do yourself a favor and book here!!!

Absolutely amazing stay super close to the Udawalava national park entrance. Amazing hospitality and super culinary experience. One of the best stays in Sri Lanka for sure.
