Plenty to offer: sauna, spa, pool, playground for kids - one night here was not long enough. Fantastic meals and a great wine cellar, the dining room with beautiful views of the gorge and waterfalls.

Each room and chalet at Garden Route Game Lodge offers either views of the mountains or the valley. They are elegantly decorated with thatched roofs and wooden furniture. All of them have TVs with digital channels and a safe. The best hotel I have ever stayed in. The rooms, the safari and the food were amazing. It is worth the 4 hour drive from Cape Town for this hotel.

Both WiFi and private parking are available at the lodge free of charge. The location is stunning with a 280 degré view towards nature. Breakfast offers big choices with several tasteful dishes. Staff is friendly and attentive. I particularly enjoyed the outdoor shower that was part of room number 1.

Perfect place! Wilderness is small and you can walk anywhere you from. Recommended for sure!

Both WiFi and private parking are available at the lodge free of charge. You can literally sleep above the elephant’s boma at night and watch them which is incredible.

The air-conditioned chalet consists of 2 bedrooms, a living room, a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, and 1 bathroom with a hot tub and free toiletries. Towels and bed linen are available in the chalet. There is also a seating area and a fireplace. This is the second time we have stayed here and have loved it each time, they have made a few changes to the tent such as the door to the tent is no longer a zip but sliding doors which is much better. The farm is beautiful and there are lots of areas for kids to play as well as adults such as the mountain biking track, hikes, walks, fishing.

All units come with a balcony with mountain views, a fully equipped kitchen with a microwave and a toaster, and a private bathroom with shower. A fireplace is offered in every unit. At the chalet complex, all units are fitted with bed linen and towels. All was great! Great tents, great views, great time!
