We loved everything about the accomodation. The atmosphere is wonderful, in the middle of a forest, calmness, silence, beautiful starry nights, jungle sounds. The lodge has everything you need, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, good wifi, everything is clean. It is very close, about a 20 minutes drive to Volcanoes National Park. I highly recommend to stay here if you visit Big Island. The hosts are so kind and helpful they really put their hearts and mind into this little lodge. This is an absolutely spectacular place to stay! I would live here! Very well appointed and beautiful! Nicer than my own house in some ways! My crew and I were there for the ultraman world championships, and we were only there for one night driving after dark and leaving super early, but it was perfect! The extra inflatable beds plus the fold-out couch made it easy for all three of us to have a separate place to sleep.

Comfortable, clean, good value. Our 8 & 10 year old girls were very taken with the snacks that were left out for us, nice touch :-)

I spent 3 nights at Carolina's accomodation. A small farm with lots of chickens, two dogs and two goats and a small herb garden. You can hear the dogs barking at night (earplugs are available) but also the crickets, which doesn't bother me at all. Who can't love the sound of nature? I have read through the other reviews and cannot understand the negative ones at all. The description of the accommodation and the pictures are clear. The bed is too high? If the bed were lower, you wouldn't be able to see the sea and the sunrise. It's also very practical because you can store your suitcases and bags under the bed. As a woman, the outdoor shower didn't bother me at all. Who is supposed to stare? The animals? By the way, there is a shower curtain. You can't expect luxury accommodation for this price, but this one serves its purpose perfectly (I was out all day and only stayed there overnight). The location is also perfectly fine, a quiet neighborhood (except the dogs), but not isolated. If you don't like animals and don't like the countryside, then you shouldn't book this accommodation. It's terrible how some people here rate Carolina and her accommodation. There are always things that you don't like, but then to leave a review that is below the belt is really not right. Carolina is a very warm and welcoming person who is wonderful with her animals and has some great tips. I would be happy if I had her in my neighborhood😊
