This is an amazing space to stay while experiencing Uros Floating Islands. We had the best time as the hosts were incredible and took care of our every need. The room is spacious with everything you need to enjoy for your stay. The location is great with water all around you and during the night you get this incredible view of the city and stars. The hosts were so kind and gave us water bags for the night as it gets very chilly. They have heaters but you can turn it on for a few hours for safety reasons, but you will have enough blankets to keep you warm. They even cooked us a three course meal for the night, and it was perfect to say the least. We also had to leave early in the morning, and the owners packed us an early breakfast and even dropped us to the shore without any additional charge. It will be one of our most memorable stays.

The owner of this hotel and his family are very nice and helpful. Although it is chilly outside, they keep us comfortable inside. They also assist to arrange transportation for us.

There is so many places that don’t belong to real Uros anymore. Walter and his family are amazing hosts. He build the island with his dad. For us he took care of everything. Special food requests, pick up from the train station and also transfer to the airport. His transfer services have a really fair price. The boat pick up, and a tour on a traditional boat are included. The communication with Walter works really good. Ge also speaks some English. We had really hot water and were able to use the heater inside the room whenever we wanted. Everything is very clean and neat. With Walter and his family you will have one of the greatest experiences at the Uros community!

I'm so grateful to have spent time in this beautiful place with an amazing family. If you want to see the Uros please do NOT book a tour book night here with Leonardo and Lina instead. There are such lovely people and offer tours themselves so you can discover their culture in a more private way and the money goes directly to a Uros family. We went on a kayak tour and were able to discover the whole village ourselves at our own pace which was great. The room was really comfortable, the view amazing and the food tasty. Lina, Leonardo and their children are great people happy to share about their culture. I feel really privileged to have spent time with them. One thing to note is that they live off grid, you only have USB ports in the room, the water pressure is low and it's a dry toilet. But they have managed to make it really comfortable anyway. We were surprised to even have hot water when we didn't have any in a hotel in town.

I arrived on the Titicaca train in the early evening, and a driver had been organized to drive me to the local port, where I was escorted by Juan, an exceptional host in every sense of the word, to the island which he and his father had built. During my stay there, Juan invited me on mini tours around some of the islands, where I learned more about Uros culture and history. The Peruvian meals prepared by his wife Amalia were exceptional- always on time, delicious, substantial and inviting. I was never hungry. Juan ensured that my stay at Amalia was truly exceptional and something which I'll never forget- watching the starry nights from a comfortable and warm bed, enjoying the sounds of silence of the lake, being mesmerized by the sunsets, and learning more about the natural beauty and wildlife of the area. This was truly an amazing experience!

It is not just a place for the night stay, It is a new lifestyle. A totally different one from everything I have lived before. book with an open mind, and give trust to Felix and his family. He made us feel comfortable and shared his life with us. The toilet is camper style and there is the shower with hot water available, it is not a hotel shower, but it is incredible how they have managed to create such commodities for tourists using the lake water (which is precious to them, they drink it) There is also drinking water for guests, tea and muna, breakfast and.. shampoo! and everything you could need for your stay, plus Felix was very responsive if we had any specific needs we could communicate in advance. There were many blankent available. We got the chance to meet his family who all worked to make the stay enjoyable for us. We had a blast, he was very kind to offer us the boat ride, and took us to our tour location and made all the arrangments. He also booked us the taxi which took us from the station to the meeting point. a Very very memorable stay! I wish I had stayed more, could relax and enjoy the views and being taken care of by them! I wish we had more chances to spend time with his wife and son over dinner or breakfast for an immersive experience. Many hugs!
