The lodge is an eco style lodge surrounded by jungle. Though there are no hiking trails through the jungle you are serenaded by the sounds of birds. Kayaks, SUP and snorkeling equipment is available for your use. Your host and their children are wonderful and will do anything to make your stay a pleasant and wonderful experience. Things to know, the lodge is off the grid with good WiFi and does not have AC, but we were comfortable with our open windows and ceiling fan. The lodge accepts credit cards, but tours and water taxis are cash only so bring US dollars. Side trips to Red Frog Beach and Green Acres Chocolate are a must. Pack insect repellent and anti-itch cream.

Dinner is optional at their place and the food was excellent both nights we ate there. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of space in the room. Kayaks are available and there is snorkeling right in front of the property. We were also fortunate to see a sloth waIk thru the garden. I would recommend staying at Ataraxia

The property has an outdoor dining area. We loved our stay here. The house is a real gem hidden in the jungle, with big and extremely comfortable beds, a spacious kitchen with everything you need and a very pretty bathroom. The porch with the hammack is fantastic, we took our time to relax there and spot the howler monkeys having dinner in the trees right in front of us. It was amazing. I also took a yoga class with Jennifer, the host. If you are into yoga or just want to try it, do not miss out on it.

The reef around it was beautiful, we seen a spotted eagle ray, octopus, moray, barracuda, toadfish, and more while snorkelling. Very peaceful, the owners live close by and stocked up the mini fridge within minutes of us asking. There was also the offer of breakfast and a 3 course dinner, which we didn't take, but in hindsight, might have made the trip even better. Wonderful 2 nights and would highly recommend. There was drinking water provided, warm showers, a toaster and a gas hob and the hosts were in contact before and during my visit, so i could find out anything i needed to know in advance.
