The centrally located Pohutukawa Lodge is an 8-minute walk from Whangarei's town centre. It is 5 minutes' drive from Whangarei Events Centre and Toll Stadium (Semenoff Stadium). Whangarei Airport is a 15-minute drive away. Great location, walking distance to conference venue. Easy to find. So clean, it felt like I was the first person ever to use the room it was so clean. Extremely comfortable. Recliner chairs were a luxury in a motel. Was so nice. Free access to netflicks. Spacious bathroom really nice shower. Bed was so comfortable. The room was serviced every day, clean towels and sparkling clean every evening when I returned. Everything I needed. I felt very well looked after.

A recently renovated chalet set in Whangarei, Highlander Farmstay - Cabins features a garden. This property offers access to a balcony, free private parking and free WiFi. Outdoor seating allows guests to enjoy the fresh air. We enjoyed the tranquility of the countryside and feeding the animals was so much fun. We were a little concerned with the lack of AC but the cool night and provided fan was more than sufficient.

Bay of Islands Airport is 36 km from the property, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. Very clean, nicely located and quiet, extraordinary breakfast. Friendly hosts. And Russell as a town is nice and a good base to visit the area.

Set in Ahipara, Gems Seaside Lodge offers accommodation with seating area. This beachfront property offers access to free WiFi and free private parking. Guests can make use of the sun terrace or the barbecue, or enjoy views of the sea and garden. Gems is a wonderful location that is rig by at the start of 90 mile beach. The beach is expansive and the appearance of wild horses made it special. Accommodations are very comfortable for an overnight stay or longer. A great location in Ahipara!

Guest rooms will provide guests with a fridge. Judy was super friendly and helpful with ideas for local sites to visit. Fantastic views across the harbour. Super clean and comfortable accommodation.

Set in Mangawhai in the Northland region, Chalet Cullen, features a garden. This property offers access to a balcony, darts, free private parking and free WiFi. The property is non-smoking and is located 1.8 km from Mangawhai Heads Beach. Even though we only had a single overnight stay at Chalet Cullen, we must say it’s on our top ten experiences of what we have had during our 6 weeks vacation in New Zealand. The unit was fine and cozy, and with a great view to the beach. The local radio station (FM 90.4) plays pop/rock from the good old days. What’s not to like. We can only give our best recommendations.

Shipwreck Bay Beach is 1.2 km from the lodge. This was our second stay in this lodge and for a very good reason. It has a very good vibe and is excellently managed and very clean.

Featuring sea views, Driftwood Lodge Beachfront, Cable Bay Stays, Cable Bay, Northland in Coopers Beach features accommodation, a garden, a terrace, water sports facilities and barbecue facilities. The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. The location right on the beach with decks and outdoor furniture is great. We enjoyed several meals on the deck. The rooms were recently renovated and very nice. Brian & Rosemary were very helpful with suggestions on places to see on our outings.

Lodge Bordeaux features a heated outdoor pool, a barbecue pavilion and an in-room breakfast service. A 5-minute drive from Whangarei’s city centre, it offers free unlimited WiFi.

All bathrooms include underfloor heating and most rooms have a spa bath. Excellent selection and perfect location.
