49 km from Mount Ruapehu, The Grove Turangi is a recently renovated property set in Turangi and offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. The accommodation features a sauna. The chalet has private entrance. My husband and I stayed at The Grove Turangi for 4 nights. It was amazing. Property has everything you need to feel like home. Super comfy beds, more than enough of space to store your clothing in both bedrooms. Shower with great pressure. Kitchen’s got everything you need to cook a meal. Living space with two sofas and a smartTV to watch a show and relax. Aircon is there as well to make sure the temperature inside as per your liking. Outdoor area is beautiful and well maintained to enjoy birds singing and surrounding. My husband used the sauna and said it was fantastic. The fact that we were just two and place has two bedrooms was amazing because we did sleep separately one night after completing alpine crossing so we can both relax and just sleep in (haha). Location was perfect for us being so close to Tongariro park to enjoy hikes and walks. Only about 30-40 mins of driving to the tracks. And close to Taupo as well. Thank you for this wonderful stay and I highly recommend this place to anyone who is travelling to the area.

Towels and bed linen are offered in the holiday home. There is also a seating area and a fireplace. Beautiful spot and stunning home. Loved the fireplaces and heating throughout the house for cold nights. Very clean and everything you need was there!

This lodge has a garden, barbecue facilities, free WiFi and free private parking. Alli and Glynn have done an amazing job in making this place into such a beautiful accommodation. There is so much detail into making the hares nest as comfortable as possible. As soon as our little one walked through the door he was so excited that a bear was reading a book in ‘his bed’. We ordered the platter, I can highly suggest doing so, everything was super yummy. Alli went all out making cookies, bread, jam, chutney and more we would definitely rate hares nest a 10/10. Thanks again for having us.

Simply superb !! From start to finish this hotel / b&b was the highlight of our visit to NZ. A beautiful home with stunning views of the lake in Lake Taupo. The hosts are most gracious. The room was beautiful. Extremely large with a dressing area, balcony with a gorgeous view, jacuzzi bath tub and shower. Breakfast was plentiful and beautifully presented.
