A variety of cafés and restaurants are within 5 minutes’ walk of the property. A shuttle service and laundry facilities are also available and charges apply. Good and spacious apartment with veranda located close to the river. We only spent one night, so could not profit from the good location, but laundry facilities were good. Not too far from the few restaurants of the town. Also close by car from the start of Tongariro alpine crossing.

There were so many nice touches in the cabin ( bottle of prosecco in the fridge, some chocolates, robes and slippers). One of the nicest places we have ever stayed.

49 km from Mount Ruapehu, The Grove Turangi is a recently renovated property set in Turangi and offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. The accommodation features a sauna. The chalet has private entrance. This is a really nice place very well thought out and nicely done to a modern aesthetic. The beds are great - the best of our stay, and the sitting and kitchen / dining area all work well. Host was very attentive and it is nice to have a washing machine! The shower is large. All in all a very nice stay. Ideal for 2 and big enough for 4.

It felt like home away from home 🏡.. well presented house with everything you need to have a comfortable stay, especially when you are travelling with elderly family members and kids. I loved the kitchen as it was so well equipped, starting from cutlery to pots and pans and pantry filled with spices.. Beds were so comfortable, and the linen smelled so fresh .. We used the laundry facility and loved the fact that we could dry the clothes out in the line.. We even enjoyed BBQ as there was a facility for that as well.. Towels and bed linen are offered in the holiday home. There is also a seating area and a fireplace. The place was perfect. All rooms were clean.

Boasting a terrace and room service, Hare's Rest is attractively set in Taupo, 31 km from Orakei Korako Cave and Thermal Park and 31 km from Orakei Korako - The Hidden Valley. This lodge has a garden, barbecue facilities, free WiFi and free private parking. Alli and Glynn have done an amazing job in making this place into such a beautiful accommodation. There is so much detail into making the hares nest as comfortable as possible. As soon as our little one walked through the door he was so excited that a bear was reading a book in ‘his bed’. We ordered the platter, I can highly suggest doing so, everything was super yummy. Alli went all out making cookies, bread, jam, chutney and more we would definitely rate hares nest a 10/10. Thanks again for having us.
