The grill hut where we could have our own private BBQ in the middle of winter. Fantastic! The sauna which we could reserve privately with its amazing view. How peaceful this area is. Located in Alta in the Finnmark region, Flatmoen Natur Lodge provides accommodation with free private parking, as well as access to a hot tub. The property is non-smoking and is situated 7.2 km from The Rock art of Alta. They have 4 lovely cabins next to each other with beautiful nature views. The very comfy bed is surrounded by glas windows and a glas roof and we were able to see the northern lights at night from the bed as we were staying here in December. The cabin itself had a kitchen with everything you need to cook, but the local pizza place will also deliver food, if you can't be bothered. We did book also a 3 hour horse carridge ride with dinner included which the lodge offers on their website. You can even book it online. We can highly recommend a stay here and also the sledge ride. Oh, and the jacuzzi on the terrace is super romantic!

Featuring mountain views, North Experience Basecamp in Melen features accommodation, free bikes, a garden, a shared lounge, a terrace and a restaurant. Both WiFi and private parking are accessible at the lodge free of charge. Staff was amazing! Always stayed in touch and helped even before I arrived. Once I arrived they showed us around and let us hangout in the chill room since we arrived early in the morning! Can’t say enough wonderful things about the place and staff! We even got lucky with a show of the lights very short and sweet but we were thankful!
