We had the Loft apartment at the side of the house, opposite an ancient ruined castle, overlooking a quiet waterway. Cosy, romantic and cottage-like. A private (if teeny) sauna & toilet on entering the front door. At the top a little kitchenette with French doors onto a small sun terrace over the canal. Room to lay outside on loungers when sunny, or just sit and relax. Very private, quiet and calm. A large bed squeezed into a space opposite a basin & shower. Cosy, quiet & comfortable, with Netflix freely available. Annemiek, the owner, was just lovely. We hired the (top quality) e-bikes for 2 days which were excellent, well worth paying 3x the cost of ‘City bikes’ and made hilly coastal dune cycling against gale winds a piece of cake. The bikes virtually rode themselves!

I received a top invite, privacy during the whole stay, fast reponse through whatsapp when needed and a suited goodbye message. The location is perfect. Accompanied by nature, flowers, birds in it's natural environment. Regarding ecology, it is top notch. The chalet is ideally built, everything is thought of. Minimalistic, all essentials are present. Comfort isn't compromised. I felt home.

The chalet was nice and cheap and the people on Camp de Lage Werf was very helpful and welcomming. All in all a great week.

The location was perfect, Amsterdam, The Hague, Kasteel de Haar, Keukenhof and Rotterdam all within 45 minutes drive (some less than 30 minutes away). We had lovely walks, beautiful views and all the comforts of home. A lot of thought has gone into the renovation of the lodge and it is the thoughtful little touches that really stood out (fresh flowers, a basket of groceries to get us going). Thank you again for a fantastic week, we will be back again.

Our hosts Willian and her husband were so sweet and friendly, it felt like they were our neighbors. They even provide 2 bicycles for guests to use, free of charge. The chalet itself is indeed small (ideal for 2 people, max 3) but very well stocked. We especially loved the fully furnished kitchen because we cooked our own meals a lot during our stay. The view from the porch is incredible, esp in the morning! A special highlight was being able to borrow their kayak. We hauled it to the river (just across the road) and had a relaxing evening paddle through the town, absolutely a must try!
