Very natural and serene location. Green, charming and eye catching. Convenient and stylish lodges, open air shower and pools. Kept closed to residents only, so feels like you almost on your own there. Great view at sunset from the bar atop the hill. Staff are best from what you could expect. A-la-carte menu and wine list in the main restaurant is fairly good and actually one could spend a few days without leaving the premises (we stayed for 2 nights). All-in-all makes your stay memorable and we will stay here again for a part of our journey next year.

La Vieille Cheminée酒店位于Charamel，坐落在200英亩（约1214亩）的农场内，由两条河流、当地树木和森林环绕，设有室外游泳池、露台和花园。 La Vieille Cheminée, Tropical Farm & Eco-Lodges酒店乡村风格的自助式小屋设有空调、配备齐全的厨房和烧烤设施。其中三栋小屋配有壁炉。每间连接浴室均提供淋浴和免费洗浴用品。... 真是一次难忘的自驾游。当天导航到酒店，走错了路，明明直线距离只有一公里，但是是从这个山到另一个山，所以饶了一个多小时。第一次开右舵车，左侧通行，全程没有路灯，也不清楚路线对不对，一切未知的因素导致我很不安，当找到酒店的时候已经十一点了，致电给了店家，要到酒店大门密码。打开大门后确定是这家，然后又开了两分钟山路，终于找到了office，酒店服务人员很热情，并且提前为我们打印了中文的入住须知，很贴心，还问我们要不要用餐。然后领我们去了房子那里，住宿的房子真的很惊艳，因为是第一次住这种类似独栋的小房子，就很欧美风，瞬间觉得一切的绕路都是值得的。早起时，一开门看见几匹马在吃草，我门口的椅子上都是鸟，感觉就住在大自然中。

Everything was very well thought through and tastefully done. Every fixture and fittings were top notch. The exceptional view of the Grand Piton, the highest peak in Mauritius, just across the valley is majestic. The place is very calm, quiet and peaceful. The car park is inside the compound, right next to the lodge. The wifi was fast. The ac in the bedroom was quiet and effective. The bathroom fittings too were high quality. The bed is huge, well made and very comfortable. The breakfast spread was available in the lodge, right from the moment we arrived and was very generous. The terrace sitout was amazing to enjoy the stunning views around. The outdoor fire place with a cozy corner was very relaxing.

From the first moment we arrived at the chalet, it felt like a home in paradise. We particularly enjoyed the mornings, drinking a coffee on the terrace from which you can see the beach and the sea. 🌊Different birds come to say Hi and add to the truly peaceful athmosphere. The chalet was very clean, had everything one needs, and was very cozy. The nights were very quiet, ensuring one gets a good night‘s sleep. The beach is not crowded, it‘s fun to observe the surfers and the sunsets were magical. Additionally, one can use the chalet‘s own kajak to paddle out in the mornings to see the dolphins that live around the area - they are not there every morning (sometimes at other beaches) but there are good chances to see them and observing boat/kajak traffic can help to spot them. The rental car was also great, very useful to drive around to different activities and restaurants in the evening (as at Tamarin Beach, there are not that many restaurants to choose from). In general, the area is fantastic to stay in because you can reach different interesting destinations within short ride times. Anil was super friendly, easy to reach via Whatsapp, had a very short response time and helped with all our questions.
