Very calm and quiet place in Udawalawa. We loved the nature around. Many birds singing in the morning and everting. You could even see a monkey swinging on the nearby tree :) We were welcomed with a cold juice. The room was spacious and clean. Very comfortable. The dinner was one of the best we ate in Sri Lanka. Delicious homemade rice & curry. The same thing for breakfast, really tasty. In our room we had a kettle, tea, coffee and a bottle of water. We were just passing through Udawalawa, but would definitely spend more time in Wild River Side if we could :) Thank you!

Brilliant location, off the main road leading to the park, so it took only 15 mins ti get to safari early in the morning. Top room has trea house feel and it was really cool ti hear the sounds. No funny bugs in the room by the way. The staff were amazing, they organised really good safari guide with geep for us. In the evening one of the guys took my friend to get a takeaway on his own motorbike. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty.

A green and beautifully run guest house where we really like to stay. The owners were some of the kindest people we met and went out of their way to give us advice and a smile! The owners talk to us very well. Dinner was perfect, very romantic and delicious buffet. We also booked a safari through them which we love, it was just the two of us in the jeep and we saw more elephants with a knowledgeable driver ( sujee ) .Definitely getting old. We managed some very nice birding just sitting in the garden. A truly relaxing setting in nature. The staff was very friendly and efficient, and the meals were delicious.

In fact this is a separate house with a huge comfortable room, clean new bathroom and beautiful terrace. Everything insight is thought out - tea maker set, furniture, anti mosquito protection and so on. It was one of the cleanest places we have seen at Sri Lanka. Breakfasts were also good. We stayed for 3 nights and each morning breakfast was slightly different but always tasty and nice. I especially liked pancakes with sweet coconut filling. The owner and his wife are very kind and helpful. We really appreciated fresh coconut and jack fruit they treated us and a candle for power off hours. Our best recommendations for this place and best wishes for the owner.
