Amazing room with a stunning view and lots of extra touches which made our stay memorable. We almost didn't want to go anywhere because it was so cosy and peaceful. Loved the window seat and the overhead projector which was great for a movie night and the bathroom was very special. Really enjoyed the breakfasts on the balcony with the amazing views. Chathura and the extended staff could not have been more welcoming or helpful. Fabulous walk from the cabins down the stairs to the railway line.

Absolutely brilliant, I'm so glad we read all the reviews and found this hidden gem! What a great place, it will definitely keep getting amazing reviews so don't think twice about booking it! Some reviewers thought it was 'out of town' which we thought was hilarious, it's a couple of minutes walk down to the action, but with the reassurance that you can retreat to a peaceful jungle like setting with a really good chance of seeing the resident giant squirrel. Charming, chatty, helpful host who welcomed us with lovely coffee and cake, we felt very spoilt! He organised a very good taxi to the South Coast for a much better price than other places. Thank you so much, you made the trip to Sri Lanka very special!

The view of the bridge and the jungle were absolutely stunning! It was a short walk down to the bridge if you wanted to get on the tracks which was great. The room itself was absolutely perfect. All of the amenities we could have asked for and you could tell it was very new. It was also a short tuk tuk ride into town when we wanted to do some shopping, and our host was so generous to give us a ride when we needed. The family that hosted couldn’t have been any sweeter, and we were so grateful for the time we got to spend there and the opportunity to have met them!!

We even packed some food for the rest of the day. The host was lovely and helped us park and get around. Also, she was helpful with the tuk tuks. Definitely a place to come back to.

But most of all: the owner is a wonderful person, who will go above and beyond to help you and make sure you have a great stay. We hiked from there to Ella's Rock, following the train rail at first and it was really amazing. Thank you so much for this stay!!!

The house is very private and has a super comfortable bed with klamboe. They made diner for us which was the best food we had! The breakfast was also way better then other places! Look no further for a fantastic stay in Ella with the most breathtaking views, the kindest most genuine hosts, and fantastic proximity to Ella village and any adventure you can dream up. The owners Renu and her husband are one of a kind people, they fed us the most delicious, healthy Sri Lankan breakfast - every step of the way I felt so cared for. They even helped us arrange tuktuks to town, and offered to send a taxi to bring us from Weligama to Ella (although we didn’t need it). Renu made personalized recommendations for Ella adventures, at night we slept like babies, and rose to watch the sun rise from the cozy bed. 2 nights was way too short here - next time we’re in Sri Lanka, we’ll spend much more time here and will definitely do their cooking class and more.
