Kandalama Lodge is a delightful boutique hotel and is even better than the photos. So happy we decided to stay for 4 days (we had considered Jetwing Lake and the Heritance) as the hotel is absolutely perfect. My husband and I stayed in the casita with the pool while our daughters were in a two bed room. The rooms and bathrooms are immaculate — the outdoor bathroom exceeded expectations with high end fixtures and no critters even in the middle of the night. We had all meals at the property and the chefs deliver on both Sri Lankan and western food. Super fast wi-fi in the rooms and on the property. The pool and gardens create a relaxing vibe. Wedge, the owner, could not have been a more gracious and helpful host. He and the team arranged transport and local outings to Sigiriya, Minneriya, Dambulla and a spa for massages. Help was always available, if needed. Truly a wonderful place!

The rooms are beautiful and the location was excellent. It is such a peaceful place to rest after a day's activities! Also the staff is great and the food is amazing.

Very nice place, very clean, with a beautiful garden (we even saw a wild peacock inside!) and views to Lion's rock. The staff were very friendly and attentive and the breakfasts were delicious. The place was fully covered with trees. Room was spacious and clean. Washroom was big and clean. Janak, the owner was very sweet and helpful. Breakfast was wholesome and tasty. I strongly recommend to book this place. Worth money. Perfect stay at Sigiriya.
