It was the most wonderful place, a very special place, very calm, it felt very personal and exclusive The rooms were much more than just a room, having your own front door straight into the garden and pool area, they were incredibly clean and the bathroom is such a treat, it really connects you to the nature all around, absolutely fantastic and super clean also, great shower, very comfy large bed. The staff are brilliant, nothing is too much trouble and the food is fabulous, as in the rest of Sri Lanka and indeed anywhere, the local Sri lankan dishes were definitely the best and I would suggest people choose these, taste and presentation was superb. We would definitely love to come back

The place was clean and cozy, not far from the main attractions. The breakfast was very good. We saw monkeys on the trees Just in front of the house. The owner was very nice and he even helped us to plan our day and provided a driver for a good price.

The host had ensured that a driver would pick us up from the airport as we arrived at 03:00 am. The drive itself took 2-2,5 hour and once we arrived we were served with tea and coffee, even though that the check-in time at the homestay, was at 11:00. We went up to the rock next to the house and saw this amazing sunrise. We are very grateful for the assistance we received from the owners. The breakfast was great and included both fresh fruits and local breakfast cuisines. Every night we ate dinner at the homestay, which we highly recommend. We were fortunate enough to help prepare a traditional Sri Lankan dinner, which also was a great experience. The family helped us getting to attractions such as Lion Rock and the Golden Cave temple. They were also a great help with regards to arranging a safari tour. Though it’s a bit far from the main road, we had no trouble walking the 2.5 km or getting transportation from the family. Overall, we were very happy at Sigiri Lake Paradise and wholeheartedly recommend it.
