Family is super friendly, they can prepare you breakfast and also a dinner ( the soup with garlic toast was fantastic). We were upgraded for our room. It was spacious with a working hot shower and a bath, a first for us in Sri Lanka. We arrived just as it started to rain heavily so didn't explore the area. It was about a mile from the train station but on the edge of Hatton with fantastic views over the hills and tea plantations. No need to use A/C.
