If we could rate Cabin 7000ft higher than 10/10, we absolutely would! This place is an experience in itself. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed, and the level of care and service was outstanding. The location is simply breathtaking. Perched above Sri Lanka’s highest village, the views stretch endlessly over rolling farmland, where highland vegetables grow in neat rows, and behind the cabin lies a dense forest, home to local wildlife. Watching the landscape change with the light was magical. The cabin itself is a dream—spacious, spotless, beautifully designed, and instantly inviting. You arrive, take a deep breath, and feel at home. Everything is well-maintained, and you can tell that a lot of thought has gone into every detail. What really stood out was the hospitality. Not only were we looked after with great care, but even our guide/driver was well accommodated. The owner was always there with a smile, ready to help, even suggesting a beautiful hiking route and making sure we were set up for a great walk. A personal highlight: my partner’s birthday fell during our stay, and to our surprise, she was gifted a beautiful birthday cake—a gesture that truly made the day extra special. We also dined at the cabin, and it was one of the best meals we had in Sri Lanka. The owner and his wife clearly have a passion for good food, and it was a pleasure to taste it. Communication was seamless from the start, with quick and easy WhatsApp contact, making everything effortless. Cabin 7000ft is more than just a stay—it’s a special place that lingers in your memory long after you leave. Highly, highly recommended!

This is an hidden gem . The host is charming the rooms bed and facilities are by far the best equivalent to uk 5 star it cannot be faulted. The view is to die for the food we had dinner & breakfast was outstanding 10 out of 10 for everything . I would 100% recommend this hotel you will not be disappointed.

The location is nice, though a bit far from the center; however, it is very peaceful, with no noise or disturbances. Highly recommended for travelers who appreciate peace of mind. The cottage’s design is also very charming

The hosts were amazing and really helpful. The view from the room was amazing and most of the places were walking distance away. The room was also comfortable and cozy.

This spot is an absolute secret gem! Perched on top of a hill, watching the town wake up each morning was beautiful. The cabin is designed brilliantly, keeps so cosy and warm, the beds were so comfy and being snuggled up was perfect in the cool weather. Literally feel like you could be anywhere in the world. Don’t forget to hot shower, so good. The hosts went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcome. Offering best local spots to eat and directions for each of our activities, and an endless supply of tea and coffee. The breakfast was huge and with an option for either English or traditional Sri Lankan (go the Sri Lankan!).

We loved the decoration of the place (was colorful and fun) and the gorgeous views! Everything was spotlessly clean - even the little aquarium (that’s right, you’ll share your space with 3 beautiful goldfish). Strong wifi connection, and close to the main road (yet you’ll only hear bird songs).

This house is absolutely beautiful! The location is incredible! Right next to a lake, with the most amazing view. Maskeliya is one of the most beautiful places in Sri Lanka, even more stunning than Ella or Nuwara Eliya. I would truly recommend everyone to visit this area. The house itself is new, clean, and in excellent condition. It has two floors, with two large beds and one smaller bed. Perfect for a group or a family. The view from the beds is breathtaking, exactly like in the pictures. What made our stay even more special was the owner, priyanga. He is such a kind, caring, and attentive person. You can really feel how much he enjoys taking care of his guests. I highly recommend letting him cook for you. His food is absolutely delicious, even better than what you would get in a restaurant nearby! He cooks like a professional chef and can prepare dishes the way you like. Also European style and not too spicy if you prefer. We felt so comfortable and happy during our stay. It was a wonderful experience, and we will definitely come back again. We loveddd this place, quiet place with an AMAZING view of the waterfall from the upstairs bedroom, food was good and place is super quite and very cosy.

At the time of booking, there was only one review of this homestay. So we took a leap of faith - that's how we roll... Wow! Were we rewarded! This is by far the best homestay, and Deva is a superhost! He goes above and beyond to make sure we have everything we could possibly want and need, while his lovely wife Mangu conjures up meals fit for the gods! The room is spacious, clean and comfortable (mosquito-net included). A large bay-window overlooks the tea plantations. At night, the subtle ramblings of an enthusiastic river will guide you into a deep coma, as it did for us. The quaint town is within walking distance and packed with friendly Tamil shopkeepers. We absolutely loved our stay! Everyone should experience their hospitality and homestay for sure. It has been the highlight of our journey so far. Thanks to Deva and his wife Mangu. :-)

Serene, silent stay in the forest. Good hosts. Helped us cook food for our children. Large house for a large family. Eight people can easily stay in a two storied house. Parking is limited for one car.
