Best part of this lodge is the staff that works there. From the moment we arrived they did everything they could to make us feel welcomed! We had such a difficult time getting there due to unrelated matters. We arrived late, hadn’t eaten anything all day and we were afraid we would miss dinner. Our way to the lodge was a long dust road. Driving it at night made for a mysterious and adventurous drive. The entrance to the lodge was beautifully lit and upon arrival we were met by the most understanding staff. They prepared a table just for us even if the kitchen was closed. So there we sat, in a dimmed restaurant with buffalos drinking right next to us. We had read some reviews beforehand which mentioned the rooms were outdated which I don’t agree with. The rooms were unique and cozy. Some mentioned the beds were hard. Come on kings and queens, are we here to sleep in or explore the beautiful surroundings? Besides; firm beds are good for you. To us the lodge was absolutely perfect! We had the best time here and grew to, dare I say, even love the staff and the serene atmosphere.

We went there to organize with the manager/owner of the lodge, David, our safaries into Tsavo East, Tsavo West und Amboseli for January. Already the communication by mail before was perfect and during our visit in the lodge and discussion with him, we got now a good plan and offer for the 4 days in January for 3 people At the same time we found out, that we felt on this one day visit very comfortably with the Reception, the kitchen, the friendly staff and service, a good double bed, protected by a good and big mosicito net. The dining room made us feel relaxed and the bar looks quit well equipped, african music made this dinner just perfect We look now forward to go back there in mid of January and go then with David and his 4 wheel Drive on Safari.

A magical hotel along the river, where wildlife is an integral part of the experience – elephants, impalas, crocodiles, hippos, monkeys, and on rare occasions, even lions have been spotted just outside the cottages. The staff, from the reception to the security guards, are both professional and incredibly hospitable. In particular, the hotel manager, Festes Mbeva, is the most humble and welcoming person I have ever met. Cooling off in the pool after a safari trip and relaxing in the shade while the cool breeze offers relief on a hot afternoon is an experience I will never forget. The rooms are of excellent quality, and both breakfast and dinner were delightful. We decided to extend our stay by another night, and I’m already looking forward to coming back in two years.

We stayed at the self-catering banta. We had an amazing time, special thanks to the exceptionally friendly and welcoming staff. The place was clean, well equipped and spacious.

Breakfast had a very wide range of items. Staff were very kind and very accommodating to our itinerary. After a request they put as all in rooms right near each other. Very close to SGR and the national park.

The food was great. The stuff and the view was lovely. We slept in the tents and we loved every minute of it. Lots of monkeys out side and u could really feel the nature... and the beautiful cinery.
