But with our car, we managed to drive to the coast, as well as to Nachi Fall. Mr Ura has been very concerned about making our stay comfortable and safe, right from giving us instructions on how to drive here, and avoiding driving in the dark, to welcoming us as well as seeing us off after we checked out .

I expected it to be very ‘rustic’ considering the price but it was perfect! The rooms were super roomy (not just by Japanese standards..) and super clean and equipped with everything you might need to warm/cook your meals, comfortable beds and best of all- beautiful French doors by the kitchen table where the deer approach in the morning. The staff that was working (or manger?) was incredibly kind and helpful, giving us pointers about the area, he even pointed out an illuminated temple nearby. Made our stay extra special. Would wholeheartedly recommend!

He was so kind, great to talk to and made us a delicious dinner after arriving. This place is simple, a great place to rest after a big hike. It opened recently, and is clean and modern. We loved the cottage feel with all the wood around us! The dinner choices - chicken curry and bamboo steamers were both so delicious. Breakfast buffet had a wide variety of foods and gave the option of making a sandwich for the day ahead. It had everything we needed for a quick stop. It’s also right across the river from a cafe and bar - the first place we saw after completing the Ogamotori-goe. Simple, but delightful and full of friendly staff.
