Guests at the lodge can enjoy a continental breakfast. We had an amazing time! The lodge is modern, super comfy, and Akira along with the whole team were fantastic. Even though we visited at the end of the season and were the only guests, they made sure we had everything we needed. Every morning, they prepared breakfast just for us, and we absolutely looooved every dish. The location was perfect for exploring the area. Can’t wait to come back!

The chalet provides mountain views, a barbecue, a 24-hour front desk, and free WiFi is available throughout the property. The property had everything we needed and more. It looked exactly like the photos. The "onsen" was a big plus after a day of hitting the slopes. We will definitely recommend this property.

The private onsen across the street is incredible, I had it to myself every night, and there is an option for breakfast. The room was perfect for two of us, and Papa was so kind to drive us to and from the Myokokogen station and the mountains, and also on some errands which was so kind. It feels like you are stepping into a place that can’t be created, a piece of personality.

Staff offered a free of charge shuttle back to Kawaguchiko station once our stay was over. The rental bikes and BBQ were very nice and convenient. The service from the staff was excellent.

After a day of skiing or cycling, guests can relax in the shared lounge area. Our favourite thing about the property was the wonderful and welcoming host, Yuki. He was extremely helpful and it is thanks to him and his mother that Marushige is run so brilliantly. Our room was traditional Japanese style and extremely cosy - although we were sleeping on futons on the floor we were very warm. The shared bathroom was very clean and all of the other guests were very respectful. The location was perfect for both getting to the slopes on foot, visiting local onsens and getting dinner along the Main Street. One night we had dinner at Marushige and it was fantastic, we ate some very refined local cuisine - they even served us a local delicacy of horse meat sashimi (I have to admit that I could not eat it as I don’t really eat meat but my husband tried it).
