Loved the peaceful location, incredible views, had the whole place to ourselves, amazing chefs kitchen with all the amenities and free to use, breakfast was plentiful, rooms were very warm with underfloor heating, lovely on the feet but almost too warm at night.

We will remember the atmosphere of the Eyjar Fishing Lodge forever. There is nothing else around and the fantastic view is not obscured by anything. I highly recommend! Good breakfast. The microwave and electric keetle in the common area were nice to have.

The location is unique, the cabin is small but equipped really well. 5' away from Vök Baths. It is totally dark outside so if you are lucky you could see the northern lights.

The owner was super helpful and kind, very understanding to our plan changes, because we traveled a long way and I had an injured ankle. The location was truly awesome, close from the Egilstadir town, where you can easily get lunch/dinner and buy groceries. It was also very private and secluded, with nearly no light pollution, so it was a great place to hunt Aurora. Also, the famous lake with the icelandic version of a Loch Ness monster is right underneath the property. There is also a nice waterfall about five minutes driving from the cottage and the famous studlagil canyon ain't too far away. The property was very cozy and yet modern, with private bathroom, functioning kitchen and even a fireplace with wood just ready to be lit. It offers a nice view outside the main window and even through the one in the roof. Everything was clean and quite new. We really recommend this place, it is a bit pricey but worth it.

Great place to stay in an even better location just next to the nature! We stayed with my wife for two nights in their beautiful forest room “Skogar”, a wooden fully equipped private room with private bath. Very clean, with comfortable beds. We managed to cook our dinner and also prepared our breakfast in the kitchen. Lastly, the hosts were so friendly and kind that we thought we have been staying in our home place! Many thanks to Isabelle and her husband for their hospitality! It was a pleasure to meet you!
