Nothing was to much trouble for them, the huge and practically deserted beach was 30metre from the property. We walked 12km one day and only saw two fishermen . This is a true fisherman village with lovely people. One morning our host Pritesh knocked on our door to ask if we wanted to help release the newly hatched Oliver Ridley turtles into the ocean….a once in a lifetime experience! Our meals were fresh ingredients and local caught fish made by Poonam and Pritesh’s mum and they were delicious and very good value for money. A local bus runs into Karwar town with the stop right outside the property if you wish to go into a town. Pritesh can provide boat trips, arrange transportation and show you secret spots like black beach with the group of wild monkeys in the forest behind once again in a totally natural setting. This was all really good value for money ( much cheaper than any of the more mainstream resorts). If you want to try something a tiny bit off the main resorts we would 100% recommend this homestay. The hosts are lovely people who went above and beyond.
