There is a spacious common area, perfect for visiting with the hosts or other guests. The hosts are very warm, welcoming and friendly; always ready to help, provide or chat. They clearly put a lot of care and heart into this (still fairly new) undertaking. I felt truly cared for (after arriving ill) and had a wonderful time at the village festival. This is not just a business for this hardworking young couple but a labor of love. I hope to return someday.

It was a pure delight to have a cup of chai in the morning, sitting on the balcony listening to the symphony of birds going about their business. The chalet has great amenities, very hot water for a wash after a big day of cycling all over Majuli, a kettle to make chai and coffee when needed, a huge room to feel so comfortable in with a lounge and two big beds. Dulce Hogar has a wonderful host family in a chalet behind this residence, who are so helpful in answering all questions regarding Majuli and maintain this wonderful clean home stay. Highly recommended.
