Guides are very sympathetic and funny, also professional as well. They respected all rules for contact with Orangutans and other animals. Meals in jungle were very tasty with a lot of fruits. Our 10 years son was also very happy and spent great time, enjoying trip.

Amazing place, the location is superb in the centre of the picturesque village Bukit Lawang and next to the river! The staff is absolutely amazing, and the food wow.. Furthermore we did the 3 days/2night jungle trek with Andy and Jerry, which was absolutely incredible. The tour was full of insights on the local flora and fauna, accompanied by well organised base camps and great food. We can do nothing but recommend this place! We did the two days one night trekking with Jerry, Rudy & Abdi. The guides are very funny, knowledgeable about everything and Abdi’s food was amazing! The trekking was tough but we had so much fun and saw many orangutans and other animals. Unforgettable experience and definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Indonesia! After the trekking we spent another night at the Garden Inn and did the village tour with Pindu, perfect way to learn more about the local community! He also let us make our own tempeh and gado gado, which was a lot of fun. If you are planning to visit Bukit Lawang, we would recommend to book everything with the Garden Inn team. Our guides and lodge staff members were absolutely amazing - made the stay and the jungle trek so much fun and took care of us so well. We asked for a little bit of an off-the-beaten-track trail and that is exactly what we got. The food during the trek was delicious - fresh fruit and amazing chicken and tofu dishes for dinner in the jungle. We saw so many monkeys and made really good friends during our stay. Also, the orangutan card game in the jungle left us all laughing into the night. Our hosts also arranged our transportation to and from bukit lawang so it was super easy for us. Absolutely perfect experience in the jungle, would recommend staying and trekking with this jungle lodge for an authentic experience with the best company.

We were treated like family at on the rocks, wawan and his team were so helpful and friendly that we instantly felt at home. I cannot recommend staying here enough. We did multiple treks with Wong and he was wonderful, so much information to share but also never even felt like he was a guide. Treks can be suited for your fitness level but you are almost guaranteed to see orangutans no matter where you go. The restaurant was also delicious.
