Absolutely gorgeous setting, high up above the village of Hope and close to the ascent to Win Hill. What a fantastic little lodge this is, in a superb location with everything you could possibly need at your fingertips. John was a brilliant host with quick, friendly responses to my communication. The lodge is well equipped, spotlessly clean and on a beautiful plot. We didn’t bring our dog this time but given the size of the private garden each lodge has we will be back and will bring Frank next time !! We booked for 2 nights but ended up staying 3 as we wanted more time, next time we’ll be booking for the week. Check in and out was simple. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a well appointed rural getaway that’s within easy reach of amenities.

Was a lovely stay, shepherds hut was lovely and comfortable.
Very dog friendly, dogs able to run around off lead in the field and chase tennis balls. Hut was immaculate and very well equipped. Views from the hut were stunning.
It was nice that we were trusted to be left alone and go about our evening as we wished. It was clean, peaceful and everything clear on how to operate the cabin. The views from the hot tub were great, the bed was comfy. Some reviews said no phone signal but we managed fine with ours. Ordered takeaway food which was fast and delivered to us.
Lovely cabins, clean and fantastic facilities. Food and drink exceeded expectations. Breakfast was spot on. Very welcoming of dogs which was a huge bonus for us.
We loved the location of this cabin, with its relaxing hot tub, fireplace, and comfy bed! I saw some reviews saying the rules were “too” regimented but I disagree - this is not a hotel and so there are standards you have to uphold without daily housekeeping. This didn’t bother us at all! When we were unsure how to use the fire, staff replied to us on booking.com messages almost immediately.
The shephrd hut was cosy. Food was really nice. Would definitely come back.
The history of the building and the courtyard gave a nice ambience, nice freshly cooked breakfast in a nice setting. The room felt like a holiday chalet from my childhood straight off the courtyard, which I really liked.
The cabin was so cosy and super warm with the log burner! The hot tub is so lovely positioned towards the open fields so at night you can see all stars and full moon. The hut was easy to find, clean, well kept and felt so private even though it’s situated close to the other cottages. The hut is in a great location with lovely walks all around and superb landscape views from the top of the Roaches. Such a great few days we throughly enjoyed it and would happily visit again!
A fabulous property which was spotlessly clean. The wooden cabin with wood burner inside is a real bonus too. The owners were helpful, friendly and thoughtful. Fully recommend.
